The purpose of present study was to determine relationship between emotional self regulation and marital burnout and intimacy in onecareer and dual-career couples in governmental offices. It is correlation and comparative-casual research.181 couples (362 Persons) with one-career and dual-career couples in Kermanshah's governmental offices have been selected by Multi-stage cluster sampling and have completed relevant questionnaire. Findings have been analyzed by Pearson correlation, stepwise regression and MANOVA and SPSS software. The results indicate that there is relationship between emotion regulation strategies and marital intimacy and marital burnout. There is significant difference between mean of emotion regulation strategies, marital burnout and intimacy in one-career and dual-career couples. Dualcareer couples have less positive emotion regulation strategies, marital intimacy, more negative emotion regulation strategies and marital burnout than one career couples. Also there is significant relationship between emotion regulation strategies, marital burnout, emotion regulation strategies, marital intimacy, marital intimacy and marital burnout. According to the results it is suggested that preventive, educational and therapeutic interventions in governmental and nongovernmental organizations and agencies can be done by concentration on emotion regulation strategies (in order to effect on marital intimacy and marital burnout) for dual-career couples.
