The present article investigated relationship between general health and type of shift work in 80 staff of Tehran Sofalin Varamin Factory. It was descriptive and survey study. General health questionnaire and personal data sheet were used as tools. Descriptive statistics, t-test, multivariate regression was employed to analysis of data. Results showed that there were not significant differences between 12 and 8 hours staff. There were found significant relationships (a=0.01) between age, education, work experience, salary and shift work with general health of staff. Besides, there were significant relationships (a=0.01) between age, education, work experience, salary and general health with type of shift work. It can be concluded that there is relationship between general health and shift work, in other words, there are significant relationships between psychological and physical variables at the workplace. Researchers suggest conducting such researches with the purpose of keeping and promotion of general health of staff.
