Abstract: 

This study aimed at comparing children's behavioral problems among mothers with high and low emotional intelligence. The research method was causal-comparative. The statistical population included 386 elementary students' mothers out of which 200 mothers (100 with high and 100 with low emotional intelligence) among 30 to 45 years old selected as the sample size. The sampling method was criterion sampling. To gather the data, two measures were used, namely Quay and Peterson revised behavioral problems checklist (RBPC), and sheering emotional intelligence questionnaire. To analyses the data the independent t-test was used. Results of the independent t-test demonstrated that the mean behavioral problems (conduct disorder, social aggression, attention-immaturity problems, anxiety-withdrawal) in students with high emotional intelligence mother were lower than students with low emotional intelligence mother (p<0.01). Girls scores in behavioral problems (conduct disorder, social aggression, attention-immaturity problems, withdrawal) were less than that of the boys (p<0.05).

Abstract: 

The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of group life skill training (stress management) on developing employees stress cintrol in car producing factory of Tabriz. The statistical population was all employees in car producing factory of Tabriz out of which 60 employees were selected randomly and assigned to two experimental and control groups. The instrument for data collection was "Cohen stress scale "(1983) which was completed by the subjects both before and after life skill training course. Data obtained through statistics including frequency means, SDS and research hypotheses was analyzed using covariance test. Results showed that group life skills training is effective in improving stress management among employees in their work place.

Abstract: 

The current study aimed at considering the effect of logo therapy in the students' attitude toward marriage and life expectancy in Islamic Azad university of Tabriz. The Statistical population included all of the students busy studying in 2011. The research method was quasi experimental. The sample size was 80 single students. The nonrandom voluntary sampling was used. To gather the data the Larson questionnaire regarding the attitude toward selecting spouse was used. The sample was divided in two groups (experimental and control) each with 40 people. Based on the pre-test scores, 40 sample (20 male & 20 female) who obtained the highest scores forming experimental and 40 other people (20 male & 20 female) who obtained lower scores formed control group. The experimental group received ten ninety minutes session logo therapy and life expectancy. The control group didn’t receive any. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used. To analyses the data. Covariance analysis was used. The results showed that logo therapy was effective on the students attitude toward selecting spouse and life expectancy.

Abstract: 

and validity of Students' Science Learning Motivation Questionnaire (SMTSL), a sample of 258 Iranian female and 117 male, aged 17-24 years (mean=22), who were studying in Payame Noor University completed the SMTSL. Calculating the internal consistency of the SMTSL revealed that all 35 items were highly correlated with the total score. Reliability assessment by computing Cronbach’s alpha coefficient and Guttman split-half coefficient for the questionnaire were 0.838 and 0.875 respectively. The correlation coefficient of 0.667 was obtained by retest in a 2 week time interval which was significant (p<0.01). In order to assess content validity, the questionnaire was given to a few psychologists who approved the potency of SMTSL in assessing science learning motivation. Factor analysis was Also, used to evaluate the internal validity, which extracted 6 factors according to the subscales of the SMTSL, which could explain 56.05% of the total variance. The Cronbach’s alpha coefficient from 0.728 to 0.847 and mean of correlation from 0.92 to 0.477 of subscales, confirm internal consistency and discriminate validity of the questionnaire. The results showed that the SMTSL is a reliable and valid inventory for measuring motivation toward science learning among Iranian students.

Abstract: 

The aim of the study was to investigate the feedback effect of formative evaluation on fifth grader female students’ academic achievement at mathematic in Miandoab city. The research method was pseudo-experimental. The statistical population was all the Fifth grader female students which included 220 classes, using cluster random sampling 8 classes were chosen as the sample size, 4 classes from the city and 4 other classes from rural area. To determine the amount of the effects on academic achievements, five kinds of mathematical tests were run. The reliability of the tests was calculated through cronbach's Alpha. For final measuring Philips test and check list, were used by Coder Richardson method and the results were 0.84 and 0.96. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data. To test the hypotheses, the independent T-test was used. The SPSS software version 17was also used to analyze the data. The results showed that formative evaluation during the term has were effect on academic achievement in fifth grade and there was meaningful difference among groups. Also in view of relaxation in final test of mathematic (responding the questions at ease). There was meaningful difference among students that formative test has done for them and students that haven't formative test, and there was meaningful difference in view of reducing fear and anxiety of mathematical examination among students with formative tests and students without formative tests.

Abstract: 

Anxiety sensitivity is fear of anxiety and anxiety-related Symptoms that may lead the potential traumatic effects of physical, psychological and social. Anxiety sensitivity is a traumatic factor for anxiety disorders. Present study aimed to determine effectiveness of Schema Therapy on moderating early maladaptive schemas and reducing anxiety sensitivity in students of Islamic Azad University. Present research was semi experimental type with inquiry pre test post test with control group. 10 subjects were selected randomly and randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. Data were Collected by YSQ (short form) and ASI and were analyzed by variance with repeated measurement. Research results indicated that interventions based on schema therapy could significantly moderate all schemas except schemas of social isolation/alienation, failure, and entitlement/grandiosity. In addition, interventions based on schema therapy can significantly reduce anxiety sensitivity. Results provided some evidences that schema therapy is an appropriate approach on moderating early maladaptive schemas and reducing anxiety sensitivity in university students. Therefore, for moderating early maladaptive schemas and reducing anxiety sensitivity, it may be useful to try changing or moderating schemas based on schema therapy.

Abstract: 

This study aimed at considering the effect of computer-based cognitive empowerment on active memory performance, attention, language ability, visual-spatial abilities and eloquence and fluency in elderly people. This research method was experimental in which cognitive performance (active memory, attention, time of visual / auditory reaction) were taken into account before and after presenting computer-based cognitive empowerment on experimental group for 20 thirty-minute sessions within 8 weeks. Statistical population included elderly people of Khuban sanatorıum of Tabriz with the age range of 60-65. Regarding the experimental the sample included 30 people (15 people for experimental group and 15 people for control group) that were chosen out of the elderly people by available sampling method and were randomly assigned in two groups of experimental and control, and subjects were matched in both groups. The used instruments were computer-based cognitive assignment of brain and cognition sciences center and Aden Brook, revised version test. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics such as mean, standard deviation, frequency and descriptive chart and the hypotheses were tested by Covariance Analysis Method. The findings indicated that computer-based cognitive empowerment was effective on cognitive functions (active memory, attention, spatial/ visual).

Abstract: 

This research aimed at investigating the relationship between learning styles (field dependent and field independent) and personality traits (neuroticism, extroversion, openness, agreeableness and conscientiousness) with students' academic achievement. The population was all the students of humanistic science fields in Islamic Azad University of Mashhad branch. For this research, 360 students (196 girls and 164 boys) were selected using stratified random sampling. All of them completed the learning style questionnaire (Oltman, Raskin and Witkin, 1971) and personality traits (Costa and McCrae, 1992). The researcher made test tests were considered as indicator of academic achievement in English language. The findings showed a positive and significant relationship between field dependent (p£0.01), openness and conscientiousness with academic achievement (p£0.05) and a negative and significant relationship between neuroticism with academic achievement (p£0.01). Conscientiousness, field dependent and openness in one predicted model predicted 49 percent of variance of academic achievement and also share of conscientiousness in prediction academic achievement was over of other variables.
