Objective: This article aims to study factors into factors hindering of Iranian women’s research productivity in ISI.Methodology: To do this, at first, women who have already had published documents indexed in ISI were identified through Web of Science (WoS). Then, for collecting their view regarding factors hindering women’s research productivity, a researcher-made questionnaire was used. To analyze the collected data, the statistical software SPSS (version 17) was used. Both descriptive (Percentage and Frequency) and inferential (ANOVA) statistics were employed to reach valid findings.Findings: The most inhibitory factors affecting negatively publishing scholarly articles by Iranian women are ‘Shortcomings in the existing laws’, ‘Stereotypes and beliefs concerning women’, ‘Family work’Social and cultural contingencies’, ‘Child care’, and ‘Low collaboration with male colleagues.Conclusion: Regarding Patriarchal culture in the society and scientific society, and  women's ruminating due to home management, these two factors has caused the women scientific production would be low.At the end, for empowerment of women and moderating inhibitory factors, some suggestions are offered.

Objective: This study aims to determine the rate of willingness to distribute books trough the internet by pubic publishers in Tehran province and presentation of difficulties and obstacles.Methodology: The method of this survey is descriptive. The population include public publishers in Tehran province. Questionnaires and interviews are used for gathering information. Statistic society in this survey is 150 of public publishers in Tehran province whom participate in 16th international book fair in Tehran.Findings: In the different points of views there are two major scales in this survey: 1.The examination of criteria related to Internet distribution of books shows that the most effective indexes are government support with 73%, economical factors with 68% and cultural factors whit 66% of questionnaires. 2. The most important indexes for request books through the Internet by people and organizations are economics factors with the average of 51%, political and cultural factors with the average of 45% and government’s effect with 29%.Conclusion: The results show the rate of willingness to distribute books through the Internet has obstacles without having a good situation.On the other hand the results from view point shows the publish industry could be helped by manifold factors.

Objective: The purpose of this study is determination of amount of social capital and its criteria in academic libraries. criteria of trust, relationship, interaction, capacity, diversity and structure are considered in this study, that are accepted commonly among the most of experts in this field.Methodology: This study is an analytical survey and for gathering data questionnaire was used. The community research is 218 librarians of the central library’s affiliated to the Ministry of Science and Technology and 140 librarians was determined in random stratified sampling. Descriptive statistics was used and t-test and Friedman test.Findings: Results showed that the average of social capital is in academic libraries 2.93 and among its indicators, variation (3.30) is highest and capacity (2.50) is lowest.Conclusion: The results indicate that amount social capital is moderate in the sample. There is also a significant difference between criteria of social capital and all criteria are higher than expected, but capacity is not.

Objective: This study aims to access adaption of the Persian and English descriptors and Persian and English keywords used in thesis of Tehran university of medical science with the Persian medical thesaurus and medical subject heading (MESH).Methodology: this research is a comparative bibliometric survey research .Research community includes of 3433 descriptors used for 302 thesis of Tehran university of medical science from 1385 until 1389. Data is collected by control list and analyzed by SPSS software with chi-square test and p values with significant more than 0.05.Findings: The findings show that adaption in Persian descriptors: 50.1% full match, 4.3% partial match, 32.7% bad match, 12.9% not exist in thesaurus. In English descriptors: 99.7% full match, .07% partial match, 0.07% bad match,0 .14% not exist in thesaurus. In Persian keywords: 18.0% full match, 1.9% partial match, 35.7% bad match, 44.4% not exist in thesaurus. In English 26.8% full match, 15.4% partial match, 28.8% bad match, 29.1% not exist in thesaurus.Conclusion: Adaption in English descriptors is rather than of Persian descriptors but adaption in English and Persian keywords is in low level.

Objective: This research aims to examine the situation of selecting and evaluating of electronic resources as an important part of collection development in Iranian digital libraries.Methodology: The research was carried out as a survey, and data of 19 digital libraries all over Iran was gathered by researcher made questionnaire. For data analyzing descriptive statistical method was used.Findings: Finding shows that the main premiership in selecting electronic resources is books and periodicals. Current request and future needs are important factors in selecting and 79% of libraries have a selection committee for electronic resource selection. Publisher's lists and search via internet(47%) is most using  tools for selection. Subject relation is most important criteria for evaluating books and periodicals and this criteria for databases is subject coverage.Conclusion: Books and periodicals are in the highest level of priorities in selection among all type of materials and attention to user's needs and attempt to using a variety types of tools and ways for selecting and evaluating of electronic resources is done in all libraries.

Objective: The aim of the present research is to Investigate the criteria for evaluate the Academic electronic journals from the view points of faculty members of Alzahra University.Methodology: Research method is analytical-survey. Gathering factors, criteria and indicators library study has been used in order to design the questionnaire to measure the importance of them. Research community is all of faculty members formally and at Alzahra University. Sampling method is comparative stratified random and 175 person participated in research totally as sample. A questionnaire as research tools was used. The questionnaire’s findings were analyzed by SPSS software (version 19) and Cronbach alpha coefficients were calculated, (0.85), which indicated good reliability of the research instrument.Findings: Findings indicate that over 70% of teachers believe 71 of 74 indicators are much and very much important. It means that the majority of indicators from their perspective are verifiable. Browse as the most important criteria and searching in title as the most important indicator. On the other hand, the findings showed that between existence of help criteria and the graphical environment, Multimedia, Different access levels and Providing information services a strong significant relationship the engineering exists and science teacher the most familiar teachers to the concept of electronic journals.Conclution: Results indicate there is significant difference among prioritization criteria, need to browse, user-friendly, links, search capabilities and the graphical environment.

Objective: Social psychology is a branch of psychology and sociology that studies the scientific aspect of various social phenomena as well as the related aspects of social life. This study aims to determine the relationship of a person in a group and how a person's behavior, thoughts, and feelings are influenced by group and vice versa.Methodology: With understanding the standing out of scientific activities in the field of social psychology, we can set up a ' comprehensive representation of scientists and researchers in the field and to identify the strengths and weaknesses of previous investigations.A descriptive-analytical method by using scientometrics indicators was recruited to analyze the productive activity of countries in the field of social psychology during a period of 20 years (1990-2009).We used the trial version of Hist-Cite software to map the historical Structure of Scientific Output in the field of social psychology through the period of study.Findings: Analysis of data showed that there has been a gently rise in producing scientific production in the field through the period of study. More than 97% of publications were in English.USA, England and Canada were the most prolific countries in the subject area.The University of Michigan, Texas, Calif. Los Angeles were the most productive universities.Conclusion: Mapping the historical Structure of scientific publications in the subject area indicated that there have been formed 3 major clusters in Local Citation Scale (LCS) and 4 major clusters in Global Citation Scale (LCS).

Objective: This research aims to investigate the factors affecting the quality of search digital interface based on functional requirements of Bertot from librarians' point of view and staff of university libraries in city of Isfahan.Methodology: The research method is descriptive survey. The statistical population consists of 169 librarians and staff in University of academic of Isfahan, and the sample is estimated 112.Data achieved through a researcher- made questionnaire, and analyzed the data with SPSS Software.Findings: The findings showed that the effect of all the components were higher than average.The results of Hotteling t2 showed that the amount of effect of providing keywords search is more than other components and the amount of effect of allow contemporaneous search was less than other components. The findings in demographic factors also show that there is significant difference based on place of work.Conclusions: The results in improving search interface screen feature can be used for digital libraries.This operation can improve the quality of search and retrieval of information and useful resources related to users and savings in time and costs.
