Abstract:

This study surveys small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) choices of export channels (direct vs. indirect export), when the internet is used as an informative and communicative tool in the international environment. For the purpose of this study, which is to determine whether the internet affects the choices of export SMEs distribution channels, and if so, how internet capability and internet use influence those exporting choices, however, two conceptual models are proposed? The first model is developed to test the critical relationship between internet capability and the firm choice of direct export. The second model briefly illustrates proposed constructs and their relationships to internet use with the direct-export choice of SMEs. In the second model, the stage model of internationalization and Transaction cost theory wereused to explain how the Internet capabilities and use could impact on the export channel choices of SMEs. The theoretical explanation of the stage model of internationalizationhas been supported by the survey data but the degree of information from foreign markets that were gained by using of internet is not considerable. Using transaction cost theory to explain the phenomenon that created some questionable results. On the one hand, findings show that internet use can reduce foreign business partners' behavioral uncertainty, perceived Iranian manufacturing and exporting food SMEs. But, on the other hand, they show that reduced behavioral uncertainty of foreign partners will not result in lower transaction costs.

Abstract:

In this article, we defined the priorities for contractors of city hall's projects using Multiple Criteria Decision Making technique. We used MCDM because there are some quantities and qualities criteria in contractor selection problem. To determine the priority of our contractors and to allocate each relevant criterion its own weights or importance, there has been used questionnaire. We ask our DM about importance of each criterion. Priority has been done with the assistance of BORDA and TOPSIS techniques. We have applied and use TOPSIS to rank and select a contractor in a specific project in city hall. Hopefully with this dissertation near to complete, a new opinion will be opened with regard to the tenders and contractor selection issue in public and industrial section and the topic will put forward for more disscussion nationwide along with some new proposals and views.

Abstract:

Selecting of the most appropriate technology among the available technology options is one the most important decisions that is made in the firm. Also, it is very important for the buyer and the supplier to be corresponding in selecting the most appropriate technology which is compatible with the needs of customer. Based on these issues, in this paper with regard to the role of buyer-supplier relationship in technology selection phase, attempt has been made to propose a goal programming model for the situation that as a result of some change in customer request, both buyer and supplier have to select and implement new technology. In this model, we try to achieve three goals in three priorities and through these goals, the firms’ requirements and limitations are considered and also the importance of similarities in main functions of tow technologies is emphasized. Finally, through selecting two corresponding technologies with similar functioning, the model prevents wrong investment in options which may create unused capacities.

Abstract:

In response to ever increasing and escalating competition, shorter product life cycle, and rapid change of customer's demand, more companies have emphasized and focused on supply chain management as a tool to reach long term competitive advantage. One of the important parts of supply chain management is evaluation, ranking and selection of suppliers. This process is originally is a multi criteria decision making. Supplier selection problems are complex problems which have many qualitative and quantitative concerns. Considering the multi criteria nature of supplier selection, Analytical network process (ANP) can be used as a powerful and reliable model. Also, analytical network process can be use as a decision analysis tool to solve multi-criteria supplier selection problems that contain interdependencies. ANP is a complex methodology and requires more comparisons than the traditional AHP that increases the effort. To show the application of the proposed model a case as an example, is proposed. The result shows the final ranking and related factors for decision making that can be used by decision makers to select strategic supplier.

Abstract:

This research is proposed to detect the effective factors on the adoption of mobile banking services by using Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), and Diffusion of Innovation Theory based on the advices from national banking specialists. The model divides the effective factors on the adoption of mobile banking services to the three parts: mobile banking technology, psychological, and demographic characteristics. In this research, we have used a descriptive-field study methodology by taking samples from 666 customers. Also, descriptive statistics analysis as well as statistical inferences are used to find out the effective factors on the adoption of mobile banking services. According to the results of this research, among different mobile banking technology characteristics, the compatibility variables, the cost of using the technology, trial ability and profitability were ranked by customers as effective factors on the adoption of mobile banking services. It is worth mentioning that the other factors such as complexity and perceived risk were not much important in using mobile banking services from the customers' perspective. Among the psychological characteristics, venturesomeness, and attitude toward change were ranked by customers as effective factors of using these facilities. The result shows that the opinion leadership was not an important factor for using mobile banking services.

Abstract:

This paper explores the relationship between the selected facets of small business managerial capabilities and their early stage performance. Every new venture has a certain potential to contribute to economic output, employment and renewal of the industrial structure. Research about the factors that influence the performance of emerging small businesses can play a key role in the development of public policy in this area. This study examines the impact of managerial capability on small business performance. Using a sample of small enterprises in Science and TechnologyParks, it was found that managerial capability had three dimensions: marketing management, financial/operations management, and technological capability. The positive relationship between the first two constructs and the performance variables help to identify the key management activities during start-up stage. The dominant catalyst appears to be marketing capability. Furthermore, the level of marketing capability was found to be associated with the proportion of financing secured from outside sources.
