Universities and industries are of the most important and influential institutions in social development, and economic and technological growth of societies. Therefore, the relationship development between them, due to it’s positive effects and outcomes in technological, economic and social changes, had been always under consideration by their managers, policy and decision makers, and plenty of efforts had been done in order to develop effective linkage between university and industry. In our country, great efforts had been done theoretically and practically to shape dynamic and effective collaboration in this respect. But until now, an appropriate and effective scientific and technological collaboration have not been formed, because the solutions and mechanisms designed to remove the obstacles and challenges have been ineffective. So, given the undeniable importance of the university and industry collaboration and in order to raise the level of our understanding and recognition of their relationships, it is tried to review the historical trends, main streams, goals and motivations, obstacles and challenges, mechanisms and factors effective on their collaboration. Finally, the relationship between these two institutions in Iran is investigated and some challenges, mechanisms and suggestions have been mentioned.

This study investigates the impact of information management capability on organizational performance and the role of organizational capabilities (including customer management capability, process management capability and performance management capability) in relation to these two variables. Analysis of the findings of 95 questionnaires distributed among managers and experts of the companies located in Guilan science and technology park shows that the information management capability plays an important role in development of customer, process, and performance management abilities. These three capabilities are effective on human and financial resources, customers and organizational performance efficacy. As a result, managers must focus on creating the necessary conditions for the development of IT infrastructure and data management capability; because these capabilities play a major role in the production of the other ones needed to develop organizational performance.

One of the principal concerns of Iranian organizations’ managers is the lack of successful implementation of knowledge management projects. This is one of the main topics discussed in this article. Since the implementation of knowledge management is considered as a change in an organization, the change management is a potential answer in this research. The type of approach to knowledge management in an organization is the second potential answer presented in this paper. The objective of this paper is to show the importance of change management in implementation of knowledge management, and also present a distinctive approach and classification of methods and techniques of knowledge management. As a qualitative-descriptive type article, it tries to answer questions in this respect with a phenomenological method. The failure factors in knowledge management are studied by inductive reasoning. The results show two important aspects: first, a new classification of knowledge management in seven different areas is proposed, and second, the change management is an important step in implementation of knowledge management process.

Even though enormous efforts towards industrial development have been made in Iran over the past decades, the outcome has not been satisfying. One of the main problems is the lack of appropriate catch up policies in the country development plans and programs. In fact, in the case of Iran and other developing countries, passing from imitation to innovation phase is not that simple; in fact, the acquisition and absorption of current technologies should first be dealt with, second, the technological adaptation and modification have to be made for successful technological catch up, and finally, the innovation must gradually become the center of economic development process. These subjects highlight the importance of catch up policies for developing countries to achieve successful technological learning and innovation which have been considered as the key success factors for catch up. In carrying out this project, 12 successful catch up policies are identified by systematic review of literature and case studies.

Nowadays, economic enterprises activities have been deeply affected by rapid changes in technology. In fact, economic prosperity, industries and companies are dependent on utilizing the technology appropriately. Today, organizations need high strength of adaptation and flexibility in order to not only can endure the environment in which the only thing that is not changed is change, but also achieve efficiency. In this study, the effect of technological dynamism on operational efficiency with the manufacturing flexibility mediation has been studied. A questionnaire is used as an instrument to collect data that are provided by experts and managers of 101 manufacturing companies in Rasht province. The validity of questionnaire through the theoretical foundations, and its reliability by Cronbach's alpha were confirmed. For the data analysis, structural equation modeling technique (SEM) with the approach of partial least squares (PLS) was used. The results show that by increasing flexibility, a more effective response can be given to technological changes of environment and a better operational efficiencies can be obtained.

In the present environment full of dynamism and change, one of the important categories enables us to achieve the organization goals impressively, is technology effective changes and its transfer. Since the computer based systems prepare the background of upgrading manager’s abilities for coordinating and controlling the organization activities, helping the effective decision-making, and also creating the competitive advantage, we discuss, in this article, about the technology transfer obstacles and the problems of effective implementation of information systems in Iran. This research is an applied one and is carried out in monitoring form while considering a statistical universe consisted of 66 experts in the field of information systems. The reliability is studied through Cronbach’ alpha and the validity is confirmed by the methods of content and structural analyses, and diagnostic validity. The indices of these obstacles are introduced in format of six dimensions as the technology transfer obstacles of information systems, and then a framework for the obstacles presented whose main indices identified through the factor analysis technique. Regarding the research general findings, one can say the most important technology transfer obstacles of information systems in Iran respectively include organizational, technical and technological, political, economic, cultural, social, and human ones.
