Abstract: 

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of Environmental education programs on enviro-nmental behavior of Sorkhe Hesar Forest Park visitors which is designed according to Systematic educational approach and tries to offer a instructional design model for environmental education. The main issue of this study is social and environmental behavior of visitors in Sorkhe Hesar Forest Park. Although this Forest Park has rich biodiversity and natural resources, it has many problems due to lack of suitable utilization. The study sample is the citizens of district 13 of Tehran who are more than 284074 individuals; and finally according to data and Cochran formula, sample size became 308 ones. Effectiveness of this model was checked through one-sample t-test and the impact of the course was checked with pre-test and post-test. In order to compare the mean of pre-test and post-test, Mann-Whitney nonparametric test was done. The result showed that participants’ satisfaction was high and it means that the design model was acceptable. The difference in means of variables in pre-test and post-test, shows the effectiveness of the course on variables.

Abstract: 

The present study was aimed at investigating the effective environmental and psychological factors on green purchasing willingness. The statistical population of this study is consisted of employees of Sarcheshmeh copper complex and the sample size was obtained equal to 258 people using the Cochran formula which were chosen using the simple random sampling method. Data collection instrument is the questionnaire including are the environmental knowledge questionnaire of Hoo, Kwang and kim (2013), environmental social responsibility questionnaire of Hoo, Kwang and Kim (2013), perceived behavioral control questionnaire of Choo and Hoo (2001) and green purchasing questionnaire of Hoo, Kwang and Kim (2013).Results showed that the variables such as environmental knowledge and social responsibility have directly and indirectly a significant effect on green purchasing willingness through the intermediate variables such as perceived behavioral control.

Abstract: 

The aim of this study was to determine the impact of urban environmental education on the valuation and environmental behavior of middle school female students in District 5 of Isfahan province.Type of research is based on the objectives of applied researches. The research method was semi-experimental or pre-post test and control group. To achieve this goal, from junior schools in district 5 of Isfahan with Multistage random cluster sampling, two 25-member classes in two secondary schools, one as a control group and another as experimental group were selected, And then for ten sessions (each session 75 minutes), the experimental group were trained under urban environmental education. The results of research showed that the education of the urban environment on student behavior in the experimental group in three fields green space conservation, waste management and energy management is obviously effective.also, the urban environment education on the valuation of students in the experimental group in two topics of green space protection and energy management is obviously effective and on the valuation of students of experimental group in the field of waste management is ineffective.

Abstract: 

Expanding of human communities andurban development led to some phenomena such as the destruction and pollution of environment. This problem is not only limited to one country or a specific territory, but also the entire world, and contains too many issues. Thus, the different experts have different solutions. Accordingly, the purpose of this article is to study the role of ICT-based education in reducing the environmental crisis. This study used a descriptive analysis of the data collection library documents, including identification, investigation, classification of information, analysis and summary information on the subject of study and how to improve their environmental challenges using ICT-based education is discussed. The results showed that, the educational system can eliminate distance and reduce migration from the rural areas to urban areas for achieving high-quality educational system and prevent the consequences of population density in cities, and help to reduce environmental problems, especially in urban environments due to the characteristics of ICI- based education systems such as flexibility in time and place. Also, the knowledge is the key to environmental protection, ICT- oriented educational system can provide environmental awareness to all supported learners, in order to improve the environmental challenges.

Abstract: 

Eco-city is a new attitude in urban management in sake of environment. Implementation of eighteen indicators of eco-city requires for mutual interaction between citizensand urban management. Measurement of citizens’ awareness from eco-city indicators assists the urban managers to implement plan successfully. Region 1 of Tehran has selected District 6 as the first area for implementation of eco city. The present research has tested citizens’ awareness at area 6 for six indicators of green space, air pollution, noise pollution, waste, water and energy. This study has been conducted through filling 381 questionnaires, that each one has been found with a suitable validity based on experts’ view and also has been found with a suitable reliability calculated via Cronbach's Coefficient Alpha (0.87). The used statistical tests include Cronbach's Alpha, Mann Whitney, Kruskal Wallis one-way analysis of variance, Spearman correlation and linear regression. Results of study indicated that extent of citizens’ awareness at this District has been at an acceptable level concerning indicators of water, noise pollution and air pollution and has been at an unacceptable level concerning indicators of green space, waste and energy. Further, with regard to multivariate linear regression test, it was perceived that independent variable of income level had a significant effect on dependant variable of environmental awareness, yet independent variable of education level had no significant effect on dependant variable of environmental awareness. Ultimately, output of the checklist for educational needs of citizens in area 6 of district one of Tehran was prepared for implementation of eco-city plan.

Abstract: 

This article explores the potentiality of globalization for ensuring sustainable development. By examining the pessimistic views on the negative impact of globalization on sustainable development, which consider these two variables as contradictory and competitive paradigms, the author, in the framework of transformationa list approach, considering them as two complementary and interactive paradigms, believes that globalization, regarded as a process of“ interconnectedness of borderless world”, can function effectively within the widely accepted framework of sustainability, and is conductive to a positive impact on sustainable development, in the areas of social justice, environmental protection and human security, paving the way for“ sustainable globalization” and “successful globalization”. In order for globalization to be considered as sustainable and successful, it should not compromise the ability of future generations to meet their own social, economic and environmental needs but rather should contribute to realize a knowledge-based economy, and to promote public and professional awareness through due attention to the major role of education in agendas for sustainable development. The article analyses then the challenges and opportunities of globalization for sustainable development and finally explores the possible ways to achieve a sustainable and successful globalization with an special emphasis on economic growth combined with equality and social peace, constructive engagement with the global economy, observance of environmental regulations and realization of successful educational system.
