Abstract:

Background and Objective: Hookah smoking is increasing worldwide. It is estimated the worldwide prevalence of daily hookah smoking is 100 million with shocking rising popularity among the youth. The aim of this study was to assess hookah prevalence in physical education students of Islamic Azad University, Ardabil branch within five recent years. Methods: This is a descriptive-analytic study, in physical education students of Islamic Azad University. Data collection was done in April, May and June 2009 and 2014, by means of self-administered two-page questionnaire. Almost half of students randomly participated in this study (162 of all 321students at 2009 and 235 of 467 students at 2014). Results: Hookah prevalence significantly increased within five recent years (P<0. 05). The main reason for hookah use was filling free time in both genders. Majority of male students used hookah at café whereas most female students used hookah at their own home. Passive use of hookah has been significantly increased among both genders (P<0. 05). Conclusion: Unfortunately, in spite of propaganda about the side effects of hookah use, its use among physical education students has been increased since 2009, required scientific assessment. It seems enhancement of the number of café as well as rising hookah devices at homes is the main reason of significant increase of hookah use among students.

Abstract:

Background and Objective: Regarding the fact that elderly people are risk averse to many drugs and surgeries, the most important option for treating motor system disorders and improving their quality of life is physical therapy. The management of these relationships requires the acquisition of a profound understanding of a system of drivers, key factors and key variables that influence its formation, which is the main focus of this research. Method: The research process consisted of four phases of identification and introduction of the system, structuring the structural effects of interactions and analyzing variables and determining key variables. So, by referring to the scientific and professional experts and using the structural analysis of cross-effects with the micro-macro software, 30 variables were identified in the template pattern and for determining the key variables with the aim of future management of the relations between the two groups. Findings: Accordingly, among the 30 variables studied, "educating the elderly with improvement through physical therapy as a driving force and variables such as "the role of physical therapy in the rehabilitation and independence of the elderly, restoration of exhausted tissue with the completion of physical therapy, reduction Drug dependence by physiotherapy, government health policies for the care of the elderly through physical therapy, immunization of the elderly by preventing physical illness by performing physiotherapy, Self-actualization of the elderly by applying rehabilitation policies (physiotherapy) Its key variables are the highest In management practices, there is a future relationship between physiotherapy and the quality of life of the elderly. Conclusion: Obviously, among these variables, investing in variables in the domain of regulatory variables will be more preferable, since they are relatively equally impressive and capable of manipulating and influencing them. Of course, with these two criteria, risk variables may also seem appropriate to manage the system because they can be easily manipulated and, on the other hand, have more impact on the system. But the point here is that these variables are, in terms of high impact, little sustainability and no investment value. As a result, the system was unstable.

Abstract:

Background and Objective: Blood suking arthropoda such as animal ticks transmit pathogenic agents to human and other animals. They inject saliva into the skin of their hosts and cause dermatitis. In this case report, we present a dermatitis case caused by the larval hard tick. Case report: The Five-member family referred to Ali-ebn-Moosar-Reza Health-care center in Babol due to dermal complications. They complained of irritation, itching and the pain caused by tiny live arthropoda biting. We caught samples of larval tick from their clothing, body, and home that were being identified as the larval hard tick. Conclusion: This case report reveals the importance of arthropods causing dermatitis in human. Infestation with ticks may be accompanied by clinical signs such as itching, severe irritation, etc. Further studies would be necessary to better understand of reaction types that occur after a ticks bite.

Abstract:

Background and Objective: The nutritional behavior of students influences on their health and social development. Proper diet and physical activity are their most important protective health behavior. Since, college life years are critical period on the eating behavior changes, therefore, we studied on the frequency of food consumption in paramedical students. Method: This cross-sectional study was performed on 322 paramedical students of Babol University of Medical Sciences from October 2011 to February 2012. They filled a personal data questionnaire (age, gender, place of living, etc) and food consumption frequency. Data were analyzed by SPSS 18. Findings: From 322 students, 218 (67. 8 %) and 104 (32. 2 %) were females and males, respectively. The highest and lowest frequency of food consumption in a month belonged to fruit and nuts groups, respectively. The mean frequency of processed food consumption was significantly higher in dormitory students than non-dormitories (P=0. 002). Also, fruits and vegetables were consumed by students living in non-dormitories more than those in dormitories (P=0. 03). Conclusion: With regard to the results, proper food consumption in non-dormitories is higher than the dormitories. Therefore, public education, particularly education in schools is suggested to improve food consumption patterns.
