In this paper, we prove some common fixed point theorems for weakly compatible mappings in metric spaces satisfying generalized (Y , j) -contractive conditions under the common limit range property. We present a fixed point theorem for four finite families of self-mappings which can be utilized to derive common fixed point theorems involving any number of finite mappings. Our results improve and extend the corresponding results of Radenovic et al. (Bull. Iranian Math. Soc.38 (3): 625-645, 2012). We also furnish some illustrative examples to support our main results.

In this paper, sufficient conditions for the existence and uniqueness of solution are studied for a class of initial value problem of fractional order, involving the Caputo-type derivative of a hypergeometric fractional operator applying fixed point theory. Examples are also provided to illustrate the results.

The aim of this paper is to present some common fixed point results for six selfmappings satisfying generalized weakly (Y, j) -contractive condition in the setup of partially ordered G-metric spaces. Our results extend and generalize the comparable results in the work of Abbas from the context of ordered metric spaces to the setup of ordered G-metric spaces. Also, our results are supported by an example.
