Abstract: 

The current study aimed to investigate stdents-teachers’ inclination towards teaching profession in Farhangian University of Kurdistan Province from 2015 to 2018. In this descriptive study, a total of 258 student-teachers (133 males and 125 females) from among 928 student-teachers were selected using stratified sampling method. The data were collected by using a researcher-made questionnaire in a five-point Likert type scale. The validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by employing contact validity index and expert views. The reliability of the questionnaire was assessed using the Cronbach’ s Alph method (α = 0. 99). The findings revealed that the interest of both male and female student-teachers was significantly higher than the hypotitical mean among the four cohorts. The mean scores of student-teachers interest in teaching profession before entering university for both groups was higher than the hypotitical mean. The trends of interests in continuing being teacher for male students for the four cohorts is increasing, while the trend for female students is fluctuating, meanwhile, the 2019 cohort, both male and female are different from the other cohorts.

Abstract: 

Professor is the most important and fundamental factor of success in achieving educational goals in any university institution. Awareness of students' opinions about the characteristics of a good university professor helps us to make informed decisions in setting up teaching and educational activities. The present study was conducted to determine the characteristics of a good university professor from the perspective of Farhangian University student teachers. The present study is a cross-sectional descriptive analytical study. The study population was 100 students of Farhangian University, Fatemeh Al-Zahra Campus, Yazd. Who have completed at least 2 semesters, and were studying in the second semester of the 2019-20 academic year. 97 people were selected via simple random sampling method. The data collection tool was a questionnaire related to the characteristics of a good university professor. The results showed that the professor's scientific ability, familiar with communication methods and appropriate methods of dealing with students was one of the most important characteristics of a good teacher in this study, which, along with teaching experience, can lead to the development of educational quality; Therefore, Farhangian University should use teachers with high scientific ability who are familiar with communication methods and appropriate methods of dealing with students.

Abstract: 

Educational organizations, including the organization of education, have a central role in the development of human capital in any society, and human capital education is one of their most important tasks. Therefore, addressing the issue of organizational indifference and procrastination is one of the most important issues. Thus the purpose of this research was to determine organizational procrastination and organizational indifference based on personality traits and job nature in employees of education office in Qods City. This research is a descriptive correlational study. The statistical population consisted of all employees in Qods City. Using Cochran Formula and stratified randomized sampling, 324 employees were chosen as the sample. To collect data, Standard Organizational Procrastination Questionnaire (2011), Standard Organizational Indifference Questionnaire (2010), Standard Job Nature Questionnaire (1976) and Standard Personality Traits Questionnaire (1999) were used. Content validity (by experts & specializations) and construct validity (via confirmatory factor analysis) were estimated. Reliability of the questionnaires was estimated through Cronbach alpha coefficient as well. To analyze data, descriptive statistics (e. g. frequency, percentage, mean & standard deviation) and inferential statistics (i. e. one sample t-test, Pearson correlation coefficient & regression analysis) were employed. The findings showed that mean of organizational procrastination in the employees was low, the organizational indifference of the staff was lower than the average, and the average of the job nature and personality traits were higher than average. There is a negative and significant relationship between job nature and personality traits with organizational procrastination and organizational indifference. Both job nature and personality traits can significantly predict organizational procrastination and organizational indifference.

Abstract: 

The purpose of this study was to examine female high school teachers' professional competencies based on constructivism perspective in Hamedan city. This research is a descriptive survey. Statistical population of this study consists of all female high school teachers of Hamedan city. 150 teachers were selected based on multi-step cluster sampling method and according to Morgan Table. A questionnaire was used for data collection. Its reliability was estimated through Cronbach’ s Alpha which turned out to be about 0/75. The findings showed that the participating teachers have professional competences while interviews showed that the teachers do not have professional competencies according to constructivism perspective. Moreover, higher education centers did not have influential roles in upbringing constructivist teachers.

Abstract: 

Consuming drug and addiction as one of the important social psychiatric damages in the present century, threatens various groups specially the youth and college students. The aim of the present experiment was to check relationship between attachment styles and tendency towards drug use in male students of Farhangian university of Kurdistan. This research is a descriptive-correlational study. Statistical population of this experiment consisted of all male students of Farhangian university in 2014-2015 academic year. 294 students were chosen based on Morgan Table and Cochran formula as the statistical sample. To collect data, Hazan and Shaver’ s Adult Attachment Scale and Farjad et al’ s Scale of Tendency towards Addiction were used. The findings indicated that there is no relationship between tendency to addiction with secure attachment style (P>0. 05) but there is a significant and positive relationship between tendency to addiction and insecure, ambivalent, and avoidance attachment styles (P<0. 05). Based on the findings, it can be concluded that by increasing secure attachment tendency of the families with children tendency we can reduce the students’ tendency towards drug use. Also, the higher the amount of attachment tendency towards the ambivalent insecure attachment, the higher the tendency to addiction.

Abstract: 

The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of short-term solution-based therapy on problem solving ability and interpersonal relationships in secondary school girl students. The method of this study was quasi-experimental with pretest-posttest design with control group. The statistical population of the study consisted of female secondary high school students in Tabriz. 30 female students from District 3 of Tabriz Education office were selected based on convenience sampling and were randomly divided into two groups of control (N=15) and experimental (N=15). The short-term solution-based therapy was administered to the experimental group in seven training sessions. After completing the training, both groups resumed post-test problem solving and interpersonal relationships. In addition, Cassidy and Long (1996) and Siegel, Smith, and Maska (2001) Interpersonal Relationship Questionnaires were used to collect the required data. Reliability of the questionnaires were checked through Cronbach's alpha coefficient which were 0. 92 and 0. 89 respectively. Content validity of the questionnaires were examined as well. Multivariate analysis of covariance (MANCOVA) results showed that short-term solution-based therapy is effective on problem solving and its dimensions and interpersonal relationships among students. Therefore, a short-term solution-based approach can be used to improve interpersonal relationships and develop problem-solving skills.
