The present study was a correlational study that aimed to design an optimal Mook model at Payame Noor University. The statistical population of the qualitative part of the research included experts from the academic community and higher education specialists and administrators of Payame Noor University. To determine the qualitative samples of the research and the participants of the study, the snowball method was used until the theoretical saturation was reached. Moreover, the second group of the statistical population of the study included 900 faculty members of Payame Noord University in Tehran province. Due to the different nature of Payame Noor University, 270 people were selected as subjects of study through Cochran's formula and simple random sampling method. In addition, semi-structured interview tools and a researcher-made questionnaire were used to collect data. The method of data analysis in the qualitative part was the theoretical coding derived from the method of data theorizing of the foundation. Moreover, Pearson correlation, one-sample t-test, structural equation modeling (confirmatory factor analysis) and heuristic factor analysis were also used in quantitative part. The results of the study showed that the components of Mook consisted of target selection, target audience, needs assessment in Mooks, feasibility study in Mooks, selection of appropriate title, selection of Mook type, creating a platform and its features in Mooks; content preparation, support, interactive platform, engagement and evaluation strategy. Consequently, information technology, management, academic and professional competence as influential factors as well as components of academic performance, critical thinking and collaborative learning were as influential factors.
