Abstract: 

Anxiety is a phenomenon that is intensified nowadays along with the high emphasis of educational systems on tests. Hence, it can disrupt the correct performance of the learner in the test position. The purpose of this study was to determine the test anxiety and its effect on the performance of students in the clinical competency test of the end of the general medical course at Tehran Islamic Azad University in the academic year 2017-2018. The research method was a descriptivecorrelational design. In addition, a total of 270 graduate students were selected by available sampling method. For data collection, demographic questionnaire, test anxiety Sarason (1977) and the results of clinical competency test were used. Using the logistic regression and software 22SPSS, the status of relationships between the variables of research was examined from respondents' point of view. Accordingly, the results showed that test anxiety (mild, moderate and severe) had a significant effect on students' performance in the clinical competency test of the end of the general medical course in Tehran Islamic Azad University during the academic year 2017-2018 (p <0. 05). Considering the fact that examination may cause anxiety among students, planning for effective management of test anxiety in students is necessary and should be noticed.

Abstract: 

Education plays an increasingly important role in the transformation and development of society. The quantitative growth of higher education, regardless of the scarcity of resources and the high sensitivity of the community to this system, has necessitated the need to pay attention to the effectiveness and efficiency of the higher educational system. The purpose of this study was to evaluate students' satisfaction of educational services provided by Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences and to investigate its relation with their educational performance. In this study, 140 students were studied using available sampling method. Moreover, the data collection tool was a questionnaire that was prepared using valid and relevant scientific resources and arranged in five scope (lecturers, educational services, welfare part, students and management department). Accordingly, the results showed that viewpoint score of students of the learning environment were moderate and good. The highest mean score (35. 7± 10. 2) was also related to lecturer domain in Nursing and Midwifery faculty; and the lowest mean score (11. 7± 3. 59) was related to student’ s domain in health school, too. Applying students' views as clients and active partners of the university can help to refine the educational services process and quality improvement programs that resulted in enhancing the quality of educational services.

Abstract: 

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between academic vivacity based on academic meaning and emotional exhaustion with the mediating role of students' emotional self-efficacy. The research method was applied research based on the communication model and according to structural equations, it was a kind of descriptive-correlational research. The statistical population of the study consisted of all students of Payam-e-Noor University of Marivan during 1396 to 1397 that 350 students were selected based on Morgan table and by stratified random sampling. Moreover, a standardized questionnaire of academic vitality was used for data collection such as Hossein Chari and Dehghanizadeh (2012), the educational meaning of Pekran (2005), emotional purity of Shaofli and Wondering (1994) and emotional self-efficacy of Khodayari Fard et al. (2011). Then the hypotheses were tested using the structural equations of the path using lisrel and spss software. Data analysis showed that, there was a significant relationship between academic meaning and emotional exhaustion and academic vitality with the mediating role of emotional self-efficacy. (P = 0/001). According to the results, it can be said that academic vitality, meaning of life and emotional exhaustion were the factors affecting students' emotional self-efficacy. It should be noted that the present study has some limitations including only a limited number of variables and self-reporting tools. Finally, it was suggested that other mediating variables and various tools will be studied in future.

Abstract: 

Evaluation of professors is one of the most important strategies for improving the educational quality of universities. The purpose of this study was to evaluate professors' performance based on the viewpoints of students at Abadan faculty of Medical Sciences. This descriptive study was conducted on 351 students that those participants were selected by multistage sampling method and they responded to demographic and good teacher researcher-made questionnaires. The data analysis was done using descriptive statistical methods and chi-square by the software SPSS version 22. The professors' scientific Characteristics with a mean of 0. 515± 4. 2697 were the most important factors in the evaluation; moreover, personal characteristics with a mean of 4. 1560± 0. 364 and professional characteristics with a mean of 3. 6961± 0. 446 were the next priority. In scientific characteristics section " Scientific Capacity and Power of Understanding by Professor" with a mean of (4. 4530 ± 0. 616), and in the Professional Characteristics section" "Allocating time to students while teaching" with a mean of (4. 5726 ± 0. 507), and in the individual characteristics section "respectfulness and respect for the student" with a mean of (4. 3675 ± 0. 554) had the highest score. In spite of the importance of the faculty's academic ability and among all itemsc, the students' break time had the highest mean of (4. 5726 ± 0. 507). Accoring to the results, teachers need to be aware of the importance of upgrading their professional skills, hence they can identify and eliminate the weaknesses in the teaching process.

Abstract: 

The results of research on the lack of managers and the increasing need of organizations for much more capable, talented, skilled and competent managers than today's ones in the coming years; hence, identifying, replacing and benefiting from qualified managers has been one of the most fundamental challenges nowdays which organizations may face through next difficulties. The purpose of this study was to explain and analyze the dimensions and components of substitution in higher educational systems. For this purpose, with the approach of qualitative research and ultracombination method which consisted of 7 steps, the systematic evaluation and analysis of the results and findings of previous research has been done. The data used in this study were internal and external studies conducted in the field of succession in databases such as Science Direct, Springer, Amrald, Sage, ISCO and the like for Latin articles and internal databases published such as Iranian information Center and Scientific documents, National Documentation Center and Library of Iran, Information Publishing Center of the country, Scientific Information Database of Jihad Daneshgahi, Regional Center of Science and Technology Center of Shiraz and Normags. 55 out of 2151 studies were selected based on the title, abstract and content of the subject under study in this research, and also the dimensions and indicators of succession in organizations were identified. The outcomes wholly showed that the concept of succession in the higher education system had 6 dimensions and 58 indicators.

Abstract: 

E-learning plays a crucial role in teaching and learning communities to be noticed to study, and achieving this ideal requires investigating acceptance of e-learning. hence this study investigated E-learning acceptance among postgraduate students studing in Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences based on Davis Technology Acceptance Model. This descriptivecorrelational study that was conducted by survey method. 330 postgraduate students were selected through stratified random sampling method to participate in the study. Data were collected using questionnaire through self-report; and then data were analyzed using both descriptive statistics and inferential statistics through SPSS software. Accordingly, the outcomes revealed adequate validity and reliability for the application of Technology Acceptance Model among participants. Perceived ease of use, usefulness about E-learning, students’ attitudes toward E-learning, and the intention to use E-learning were the factors that affect E-learning’ s acceptance and actual positively use. Considering the fact that attitudes toward E-learning had more predictive power than other variables of technology acceptance model, emphasis on students’ favorable attitudes toward E-learning can be effective in accelerating its acceptance and leadsto improve students' learning outcomes.

Abstract: 

Satisfaction with education is known as one of the indicators for measuring the quality of learning and teaching students. Furthermore, perception of the classroom environment and motivation for academic achievement are among the factors that affect students’ academic satisfaction. The purpose of the present study was to investigate the role of perception of classroom’ s situation and motivation for academic achievement in predicting students' academic satisfaction. Hence, the research method was a descriptive correlational study. In addition, the statistical population of this study consisted of all students of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences in the academic year 2018-2019, and so 400 students were selected by cluster sampling according to Morgan sample estimation table. To collect the data, the questionnaire of Turkzadeh and Mohtaram’ s Academic Satisfaction, Hermes academic achievement motivation, and Fraser’ s et al. perception of Classroom environment. were used. Then, data were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient and regression analysis. According to the results, it showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between perception of classroom environment and its components and motivation for academic achievement with academic satisfaction (P <0. 05). Moreover, there was a positive and significant relationship between academic achievement motivation and academic satisfaction (P <0. 05, r = 0. 20). On the other hand, the results of regression analysis showed that the variables of perception of classroom environment and its components and motivation for academic achievement can predict changes in students' academic satisfaction. Therefore, perceptions of classroom environment and motivation for academic achievement play an important role in students' academic satisfaction in education.

Abstract: 

The purpose of this study was to model the relationship between achievement goals, components of motivational beliefs (self-efficacy, intrinsic evaluation, and test anxiety) and academic procrastination by mediating self-regulated learning strategies among graduate students. In the present correlational study, 382 postgraduate students at the Research Sciences University responded to Solomon and Ruth Bloom's academic procrastination questionnaire, Middleton and Miguel's (2000) Achievement Questionnaire, and Pinterich and Digrovit's MSLQ (1990) motivational beliefs. In this study, in order to test the structural relationships in the given model, the statistical method of modeling structural equations of partial least squares was used with Smart PLS software. After data analysis, the results indicated that all fit indices were fitted to the collected data. Moreover, the results showed that the direct effect of self-efficacy, mastery goals, and internal evaluation on academic procrastination was negative and significant; whereas the direct effect of avoidance, tendency and test anxiety on academic procrastination was positive and significant. In addition, the direct effect of motivational beliefs and achievement goals on self-regulated learning strategies, and also the effect of self-regulated learning strategies on academic procrastination were significant. The indirect effect of motivational beliefs and mastery goals on academic procrastination through self-regulation learning strategies was significant; although, the indirect effect of tendency and avoidance goals on procrastination mediated selfregulation strategies was not significant. As a result, the outcomes of this study showed that cognitive and motivational factors play an important role in predicting academic procrastination, therefore, appropriate strategies can be provided to reduce procrastination with regard to these factors.

Abstract: 

The need to rapidly utilize and transfer specialized knowledge among individuals at different levels of society has led to the mobile applications development on different goals from gaming and entertainment to educational and scientific software that can be installed and run on mobile. Hence, this study was aimd to design and evalute mobile based on educational software as health pests "identification, prevention and control" to increse the knowledge of students as community Health Trustees in future. The present srudy was a descriptive cross-sectional research which was carried out in three stages of software need assessment, software design and development, and evaluation. The software was provoded to undergraduate students of Biology and vector Control at School of Public Health, Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences in 2019 for one month. The data collection tool was a researcher-made questionnaire consisting of 20 questions in two parts: educational and graphic abilities. In this study, identification, prevention and control of 33 species of health pests were provided. The evaluation results of this software among 33 students in 3, 5 and 7 semesters showed that 81. 52% and 81. 48% of them were satisfied with graphic and educational abilities, respectively. More than 60% of students prefered the software to find out information to book. Due to the participants’ high satisfaction, its use is recommended for other students of medical sciences universities, health center experts and public.

Abstract: 

The gap between social expectations and the achievements of higher education has been steadily widening, and educational authorities are also concerned about objective and tangible failures in the field of education. There is a need for continuous analysis of the policy-making process to acheive a more efficient structure and higher capabilities and better quality for higher education. For this reason, the aim of present research was to identify the components and indicators of linear policy-making in the country's higher education system to provide a suitable model. This research was conducted in an interpretive paradigm with qualitative approach based on the fundamental theory method. In this study, 12 experts in the field of policymaking and educational management and faculty members of the Faculty of Educational Sciences of public and non-governmental universities in Tehran province were considered as the research sample and chain sampling method was used to identify and select experts. In order to collect the required information, the methods of documentary and field studies were used; inaddition, data collection tools were semi-structured interview; and Maxqda2007 software was used for open-axis-selective coding of the collected data. The outcomes pointed out that the main components of policy making in the country's higher education system were paying attention to strategic management, to quality orientation in the education system, to educational infrastructure, to comprehensive development and to policy achievements in the society and expanding the supports of policy making in the country's higher education system.

Abstract: 

The present study was a correlational study that aimed to design an optimal Mook model at Payame Noor University. The statistical population of the qualitative part of the research included experts from the academic community and higher education specialists and administrators of Payame Noor University. To determine the qualitative samples of the research and the participants of the study, the snowball method was used until the theoretical saturation was reached. Moreover, the second group of the statistical population of the study included 900 faculty members of Payame Noord University in Tehran province. Due to the different nature of Payame Noor University, 270 people were selected as subjects of study through Cochran's formula and simple random sampling method. In addition, semi-structured interview tools and a researcher-made questionnaire were used to collect data. The method of data analysis in the qualitative part was the theoretical coding derived from the method of data theorizing of the foundation. Moreover, Pearson correlation, one-sample t-test, structural equation modeling (confirmatory factor analysis) and heuristic factor analysis were also used in quantitative part. The results of the study showed that the components of Mook consisted of target selection, target audience, needs assessment in Mooks, feasibility study in Mooks, selection of appropriate title, selection of Mook type, creating a platform and its features in Mooks; content preparation, support, interactive platform, engagement and evaluation strategy. Consequently, information technology, management, academic and professional competence as influential factors as well as components of academic performance, critical thinking and collaborative learning were as influential factors.

Abstract: 

The aim of this study was to design a model for better development of human resources considering self-determination and educational needs of students. In the present applied-survey study, the statistical population of the study consisted of all university students and the National Research Institute of National Defense and Strategic Research in 2009 that 300 samples were selected by available sampling method; and self-determination needs questionnaires, Gary and the Questionnaire of Factors Facilitating and Preventing Human Resource Management were distuributed. The results of factor analysis showed that human resource management factors constituted the attitude to development ratio, feeling of superiority, loyalty of human resources, developmental leadership, supervision and follow-up, policy, human resources culture, human resource justice and human resources. There was also a positive relationship between psychological empowerment and human resource management facilitators. Therefore, based on the present research’ findings, it is completely clear that paying attention to cultural, political, personality and educational factors, which must be considered, were identified important and necessary for the promotion and development of human resource management.

Abstract: 

The present study aimed to prepare a model to enable commercialization of educational science research. The study was an applied research with a mixed approach and the sampling method was also purposive sampling according to the research method. For this reason, after the semi-structured interview with 16 expert’ s interviewees, data were collected, coded and analyzed simultaneously. In the quantitative part, the questionnaire was distributed among educational and economical students and practitioners; according to Morgan table, statistical sampole was 152 out of which 260 participants were selected by simple random sampling. The data collection tool was in-depth interviews with experts and 46 questionnaires in qualitative and in quantitative sections, respectively. In addition, LISREL software was used for data analysis and also structural equation modeling (SEM) technique with LISREL software was used for confirmatory factor analysis and presenting the research model. According to the coefficient of variables and prioritizing the factors influenced the commercialization of research in the field of educationit indicated the highest priority was related to the component of structural strategies with an impact factor of 0. 95 and the law, management and environmental guidelines with an impact factor 0. 9, 0. 86 and 0. 58, priorities, respectively. Therefore, it can be concluded that the rules of law were one of the influencing factors on the commercialization of research in the field of educational sciences.

The results of previous research showed that the trust culture facilitated school health, collaboration, student achievement, and school effectiveness. The purpose of this study was to identify the factors that make and develop the trust culture in Tehran schools in 2017-2018 and also was carried out in a qualitative method of a phenomenological type. The sample included 24 experts who were purposefully selected and interviewed with semi-structured questions so that the data gathered based on theoretical saturation. Hence, the “ NVivo 10” software was used to analyze the data. Then, findings indicated that four factors played the most effective roles in the teachers' trust culture in schools including: "awareness" was in the first place, "constructive interactions", "moral characteristics", "enabling structure", respectively. Therefore, all the identified factors must be developed in a coordinated way to grow the culture of trust in schools: in other word, achieving to teachers' trust culture requires the educational system carefully planned and intended to the needs of the community.

Abstract: 

One of the methods that teachers used to formative assessment is the short term test or quiz. There are many conflictions about the effectiveness of quiz on student learning. On the other hand, the physic course has not been desired in different medical students’ viewpoints especially health students, hence to succeed in this lesson, it requires more continuous study. In the present study, the effectiveness of quizes to increase the final score were evaluated by short tests with appropriate questions at the proper time. The teaching topics for all classes were divided into 2 equal parts in terms of the volume and difficulty. The last score was divided equal between midterm and final. Until the midterm exam, short term exam was taken from the previous content every session; after midterm, there was no quiz until the end of the semester. The mean levels of midterm and final scores were compared by ttest (p <0. 05). The t-test results showed in all health physics class the midterm scores were significantly higher than the final. Finally, the study findings showed the effectiveness of short test on increasing the physics’ final score in the health students. Perhaps if the course or the fields of students be changed, this results may not be achieved. Therefore, it is necessary to perform this study in different courses and fields.

Abstract: 

The present study, as a text analysis study, aimed to determine the most commonly used academic words in Nursing and Midwifery studies. Analyzing a collection of 7759635 words extracted from 1939 articles from the top 10 journals in the fields of Nursing and Midwifery, 894 widely academic words were obtained, which accounted for about 16. 89% of the words used in the entire corpus. This list of academic words included useful and practical words that students, researchers and professors of Nursing and Midwifery needed for English studying and publishing articles. The results of this study showed that the list of field-oriented words in the area of medical sciences strengthened and enhanced the linguistic and written knowledge of non-English students. The educational implications and suggestions presented as the result of study can help teachers, researchers, providers and responsibles of educational content, and Nursing and Midwifery students.

Abstract: 

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of Online Privacy Literacy (OPL) of students in Razi University and its relationship with individual characteristics. The present study was an applied and survey method and also the statistical population of this study included 11268 of Razi University students in the academic year 99-98. The sample size was 372 members using Morgan table and stratified random sampling method. Hence, a researcher-made online privacy literacy questionnaire with 4 components (knowledge of online service providers, knowledge of technical aspects, awareness of rules, and awareness of personal control strategies) was used to collect the research data. Then, the reliability of the questionnaire was calculated using Cronbach's alpha (0. 873). Moreover, descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the findings. The findings indicated that the level of online literacy of students was seen under the average level. The highest value was belonged to the component of "social skills" and the lowest to the "awareness of data protection laws". Also, educational level and experience of internet use were significantly associated with online privacy, and more educated, and long-term individuals were more likely to use the Internet. However, there was no significant relationship between gender, age, and duration of Internet use and online privacy. Considering the importance of increasing online privacy literacy in order to maintain internet privacy, therefore, necessary training and measures should be considered to promote online privacy.

Abstract: 

The purpose of the present study was to investigate the relationship between pervasive anxiety and perfectionism with the mediating effect of referential thinking. The statistical population of the study was medical students of Alborz province, of which 165 students with anxiety were selected by purposeful sampling. Then, to collect information from the Spitzs et al. (2006) General Anxiety Inventory which consisted of 7 questions, 3 of these items related to the clinical symptoms of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, and the fourth was the Anxiety Scale. Morevover, the Erying et al. (2010) referential thinking questionnaire which was a 15item self-report tool, and the Perfectionism Scale were used. The data were analyzed by structural equation modeling and so the results showed that there was a relationship between pervasive anxiety and perfectionism. In addition, this relationship was mediated by referential thinking variable. Therefore, it can be concluded that pervasive anxiety from perfectionism and referential thinking.

Abstract: 

In the last few decades, higher education has grown increasingly in terms of quantitative, but it has faced the phenomenon of unemployed graduates and the weakness in entrepreneurship in academic staff. Hence, this research aimed to develop a framework for assessing the quality of the university in order to develop university entrepreneurship. So then the statistical population consisted of the university experts of the governmental universities of Tehran province who had professional experience in the field of entrepreneurship that 113 members were selected by cluster random samplin based on Cochran formula. In addition, descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data using SPSS22 and PLS2 software. Considering the finddings of the research, it showed that the factors used to assess the quality of the university including the quality of organizational, human, equipment and infrastructure and management had a significant relationship with the factors of university entrepreneurship development, and universities should consider these factors and strive to improve their quality in order to improve qualitatively improvement.

Abstract: 

The present research was aimed to provide a model for student’ development at Islamic Azad University. This research was an applied research in terms of purpose and its implementation method consisted of qualitative and quantitative methods (quantitative or quantitative research or mixed-method). The statistical population of this study in quantitative and qualitative sections was different. In the qualitative section of the study, population included experts in the field of student Development (14 members were selected through purposive sampling method); whereas, in the quantitative part, population included all the final year students of undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate degrees in Islamic Azad University-Sanandaj Branch in the first semester of 2018-2019 were estimated to 1500 person. The sample size in the qualitative section was selected based on the theoretical saturation and sample size in the quantitative part was selected by Morgan table (n=320). The sampling method was random-Stratified, according to sampling method classification with appropriate allocation. After conducting an in-depth interview, a list of 5 dimensions including educational, individual, social, research, and sustainable employment goals and 24 components of the student's Development were identified for themselves and others. The extracted conceptual model was approved according to the philosophy, objectives, theoretical foundations, dimensions and components, executive mechanism, executive process, feedback system and evaluation at the error level of 0. 05.

Abstract: 

This study was conducted to evaluate the learning and teaching environment of the university based on students' viewpoint (case study of Mohaghegh Ardebili University). The research method was a descriptive crosssectional study. The statistical population of the study consisted of all students of Mohaghegh Ardebili University that 375 of them were selected using stratified sampling method. The required information was collected through the Dundee Ready Education Environment Measure (DREEM) questionnaire. Data were analyzed using one-sample t-test, t-test and one-way analysis of variance by SPSS software. Based on the results, the learning environment in Mohaghegh Ardabili University has a good condition for students. According to the results, there is no significant difference based on gender and academic year between the viewpoints of students, but there is a significant difference between the learning environment and the educational environment in terms of educational level, field of study, faculty, age and marital status.
