Abstract: 

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the teachers marital communication pattern and irrational beliefs. Two questionnaires of marital communication patterns question and irrational beliefs were completed by 171teachars who were selected randomly. Then the questionnaires were analyzed. The results show that there is a negative and significant relationship was between the mutual constructive communication patterns question and irrational beliefs teachers. The correlation between other marital communication patterns question and irrational beliefs were positive and significant.The results also show that the male teachers whose marital communication is on of the following: mutual constructive communication, the, man demand / woman withdraw, woman demand / man withdraw, are more logical in comparison with female teachers criticizing these communication patterns their husbands. But regarding communication patterns demand / withdraw and mutual avoidance of communication, there was no significant difference between irrational beliefs of women and men.

Abstract: 

This study intends to carry out a comparative and analytical examination of the abundance of blood-related marriages among parents of normal and mentally retarded (slow-paced) children. To this effect, 400 students, (200 normal and 200 slow-paced), were randomly selected in Lorestan Province. A criterion of the state of blood-related marriages is to form a questionnaire for the research. This questionnaire in normal schools was distributed among parents once objectives of the research were thoroughly explained. In schools for slow-paced students in addition to distributing the questionnaires among parents, private interviews and referring to students' records were also employed. To obtain analytical results non-parametric K-square roots were used and the results were registered and provided in the relevant charts. The findings indicated that there is a meaningful relation in the expanse of blood-related marriages between parents and the mental retardation of their children.

Abstract: 

In this research, the effect of two methods of group psychotherapy, namely psychoanalytic and cognitive on the adjustment of couples has been studied. The aim of the research was to investigate if there is significant difference between the effectiveness of the above methods on affectional expression, agreement, dependency and satisfaction of the couples. Pre and post test using a control group was applied on 24 in compatible couples selected from those who called on to Tehran counseling centers. Q.A.L test was used to verity if the couples were incompatible. The couples were then grouped at random in two experiment and control groups. The experiment group was received psychoanalytic and cognitive methods, while the control group was not received any treatment. One – way analysis of variance and shefeh test were used to analyze the results. It was observed that the difference between the experiment and control groups is significant. However, no significant difference was observed between the methods of psychoanalytic and cognitive.

Abstract: 

The present study which lies in the domain of descriptive research (of applied type), aims at improving the quality of Counseling and Guidance Department of Tehran Teacher Training University and proposing a model for other Counseling and Guidance Departments of the country to implement the first stage of Accreditation Model (Internal Evaluation or Self - Evaluation). To this end, after stating the goals of the department in three levels of education, research, and professional services and making use of national and international experiences, Organizational Element Model (OEM) and comments of internal evaluation committee of the department, 10 factors (input, process, and output factors) consisting of 71 criteria and 130 indicators along with judgment criteria (goal fulfillment criteria) for evaluating input, process and output factors of the department were compiled. Using the compiled factors, criteria, and indicators, research instruments including questionnaires, an interview and a checklist (taking validity "Content Validity" and reliability " Cronbach's Alpha Method" into account) were developed, and used after Accidental Sampling and census taking to gather information from information sources (i.e., the present and former head of the department, faculty members, BA MA, and PhD students, BA and MA alumni, direct employers of employed alumni). Finally, using the appropriate statistical methods, the present situation of each of input, process and output factors were evaluated at a "Quite desirable"  level, and the department in general was situated in a "Quite desirable" level. To improve the present quality status, suggestion and implications were presented. This evaluation and the final implications are appropriate devices for the department's future planning and improving its comprehensive quality.

Abstract: 

This study investigated the effectiveness of encounter group on solving mothers-daughters conflict. Subject was 40 girls, 15-16 years old together with their mothers whom were selected by cluster sampling from students in the Tehran's 5 school district. These girls together with their mothers were randomly placed in 2 groups of control and experimental. The experimental group of mothers attended 8 counseling sessions of 90 minutes. One week after the final session, post-test was given to both groups. The instruments used in this study were the parent-child relation questionnaire, and Moreland, Fine, Schwebel mother-child list. In order to analyze the findings of this study obtained through a pre-test and post-test measurement, descriptive statistics, namely mean, standard deviation, diagram; also inferential statistics, namely t-test for independent groups were employed. The results of the study indicate that encounter groups decrease mother-daughter conflict, Also, encounter groups have positive effects on mother-daughter relationship and kindness.
