In this paper, the author tries to review different standpoints regarding hadith scholarship either from the Western scholars or Muslims. To do this task, at first he introduces the most important issues and scientific discussions discussed by different groups of hadith scholars with different tendencies in the two recent centuries. Rendering a brief introduction, he has come up with the origin of transmission of hadith within which the following issues are investigated: origin of new hadith studies, its historicity, and methods of recording and relating hadith. In the next chapter, he points to the origin and authenticity of documents under the title of Isnad in the Islamic and Western studies. In the third chapter is concerned with the methods of analysis and historicity of hadith.

Masail books are collections of questions and answers which are generally of fiqh jurisprudence) origin. These questions has been asked from Infallible Imams, peace be upon them by the author of the book or sometimes by another narrator and recorded in these collections.In the present article, the author mentions the names of a few narrators who have written Masail books. AIi bn Jafar's Masail book is one of them.Author of the present article also renders a brief biographical account of AIi bn Jafar and then investigates the characteristics of his book.

The reasons for revelation is the focal point of this paper in which the author efforts to render a judgment and verify the authenticity of companions narrations.Many of verses are connected with events and circumstances which took place as the Prophet called the people to Islam. The circumstances leading to the revelation of these chapters are called "reasons for revelation" and there are countless traditions on this subject.Among the Sunni's there are many traditions which deal with the reasons for revelation; although in the Shiah School only a few may be counted.

Writing hadith after its issuance from an Infallible Imam and compiling reliable books are of important and effective factors in safeguarding and perpetuation of hadith.According to historical evidences, conditions of writing hadith for the Shiite and Sunni were not of the same degree. Writing the Prophetic hadiths - which are found out in the Sunni hadith sources - faced with many limitations and prohibitions and was formed a long time after their issuance. While Shiites had no difficulty in writing hadith were also encouraged to.The present paper tries to depict the differences between these two school of hadith scholarship concerning hadith and its recording.

After the holy Prophet passed away, compiling and transmitting the Prophetic tradition faced with many problems.Imam Ali, peace be upon him, emphasized on writing, transmitting, and reporting the Prophetic tradition, but after the holy Prophet the situation changed.In this article, the author at first presents some speeches from Imam Ali on the necessity of writing, recording, compiling, and disseminating hadith and then tries to report the Alavi's written heritage which has been written in order to record and safeguard the holy Prophet's heritage.

Aiming at determining the students approach to the Quran and Hadith, this experimental survey has been done.This study shows that the students approach to the Quran and Hadith are positive. They were interested in activities in the Quran and Hadith societies. They had some objections to the method of teaching and offered their views on utilizing new technology in educational system.The author of this study also renders his opinion for improvements the Quran and Hadith educational system according to the todays needs of students.

Generally in every science and particularly in hadith, research is done with two approaches:1. Theoretical approach which deals with formulation and demonstration of principles of science.2. Practical approach which is concerned with its outcomes.However, lack of knowledge concerning the nature and domain of these two approaches _especially theoretical approach or ignoring its principles will cause deviation from moderation in criticism, exegesis, or/and defense of hadith; and also disregarding the legal and logical principles of hadith scholarship; and finally will result in some deficiency such as: rejecting or denying and/or showing violence to a section of Infallible Imams heritage, and regarding some unreliable traditions, in the field of theology, as reliable.

Commentary on the words and expressions used in the Quran began at the time of the first revelation. The Prophet himself undertook the teaching of the Quran and the explanation of its meanings and intent. There are three roads open to us when making commentary upon the Quran. Firstly, by using knowledge that one already possesses. Secondly, with the help of the sayings of the Prophet or Imams. Thirdly, by using a combination of methods:by reflection and analysis, or by allowing the verses to become clarified by comparing it to other verses, or by use of the sayings of the Prophet and Imams, whenever possible. The second way is the main concern of this paper. Extremism is another issue which is discussed in this paper and the author has rendered some solution for it.

This paper is concerned with the famous Rajab supplication which is read after daily prayers. Rendering a brief introduction to the issuance of this supplication from Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him, the author explains about the four stages of God's favor in this supplication. These stages are as follows: 1. hope and tranquility; 2. work and effort; 3. prayer; 4. neediness and poverty. These stages are presented in different section.

According to historical documents and consensus of Islamic scholars, forged hadith is an old phenomenon of Islamic hadith heritage which dates back to the early Islam.This phenomenon can be viewed from different perspectives such as: time of forging hadith, initiators of forging hadith, causes of forging hadith, forgers of hadith, and so forth, but the author of this paper views only one of these aspects viz. methods of forging hadith The author in this article tries to show the method used by the forgers and how they made up hadiths.Sources used by the forgers of hadith and the contents of forged hadith are other issues discussed in this article.

The purpose of this work is to define the position of the Quran in such a way that the Holy Book explains itself, rather than merely giving our own opinions concerning it.In other words the position we attribute to the Holy Quran, through reason or lack of it, if found to be contrary to the Quranic views, will not be valid. The only position which may be acceptable is what is denoted by the Holy Quran itself.From an indication in the Quran itself, the commentary of the Prophet and the Imams is established as being absolutely true. Authentication of the sayings of the Prophet and the Imams is clearly established by the existence of fully trustworthy chains of transmissions. A tradition may not, however be recognized as totally acceptable if it has been transmitted by one chain of narration only.

In spite of the great scholars' efforts such as Aqa Bozorg Tehrani in his book "al-Dhariah. and al-Nabes" and Tostari in his book "al-Akhbar al-Dakhilah", on identification of the author of Dalail al-Imamah, there is very little information on the life of Mohammad bn Jarir Tabri There are many points concerning document and content of book's narrations which deserves great attention to be paid to them.

In this paper the following themes are reviewed: Displaying the status of the Quran exegesis and the features of hadith - based exegesis (tafsir mathur), introducing the exegesis department of College of hadith Sciences, The research of the department together with its five pivots, Studies performed by the department.

The present paper is devoted to introduce the Book entitled Quran karim Wa Maalim al Madrasatayn which has been written by Allami Askari. The writer in the article mentions the following issues: the characteristics of the discussions, the range of resources and the method of the book Fasl al- Khitab written by Mirza Husayn Nuri and the book al - Quran by Ihsan Ilahi Zahir, which includes some useful contents in each chapter
