Abstract

Planning techniques and models should be taken into consideration in strategic decision – makings in any organizations. In recent years, Unifying business, service, and technology strategies has gained specific importance. TECHNOLOGY PLANNING has turned to be a vital component of the organizations business. Technology forecasting as the starting point of TECHNOLOGY PLANNING, provides the necessary information for selecting proper technologies and clarifies the future of the organization technology. The POLICE organization has now doubled their use of informational and communicational technologies for appropriate service – giving to the public and combating criminals. Technology forecasting deserves to be attended to more seriously in the plice organization. The present paper tries to clarify the importance of technology forcasting and its relationship with strategic planning in technology – oriented organizations like POLICE.
