Abstract

The present study was conducted to identify the family factors affecting the CRIME rate committed by citizens of Ahwaz. Statistical sample consisted of 550 (150 CRIMINALs and 400 noncriminals), that was selected through multistep.stratified cluster sampling method. Theories of Shaw, Macky and Satetterland were used as framework. For analyzing data the researcher used such instruments as: X2, regression, Kendal, phi and correlation coefficiency. Results revealed that there is singnificant relationship between independent variables (gender, education, social learning, area of living, socio‐economic status, and ethniticy with dependent variable (CRIME) but there isn't any relationship between the age, occupation and breaking family with committing CRIME.
