Abstract

The rate of SMUGGLING in Iran is quite high. Such phenomenon can exert negative effects on the economy. Several factors contribute to the expansion of it determining which can lead to the control and prevention of this crime.The present study tries to answer this question: "what are factors effective in SMUGGLING in Iran? ". The findings demonstrated that such factors as high customs TARIFFs of the goods, joblessness, and low risk conditions for SMUGGLING are among the most important variables leading to such phenomenon. NEGATIVE CONSEQUENCES of SMUGGLING have also been enumerated and expanded in the study.
