Abstract

Plice, due to continuous interaction with citizens, have fundamental role in criminal justice cycle. Providing security and maintaining citizens rights are the most important needs of human beings.CITIZENSHIP RIGHTS of THE ACCUSED are among issues that their negligence may restrict human rights and human freedom. In crime detection and preliminary investigation stage, investigators should not only do their best to collect evidence, but /also/ abserve THE ACCUSED rights. The present research tries to explain the duties of citizenship–oriened police in observing the rights of THE ACCUSED people during prelimingary investigation. Results showed that THE ACCUSED CITIZENSHIP RIGHTS are considered seriously by law makers, but the duties of plice are not specified during preliminary investigation.
