Abstract

INSURANCE companies are important organs of the investment market. They play an effective role in developing the country’s economy, by accepting different risks and equipping & strengthening financial resources used for fund and CAPITAL MARKET investment. Present survey indicates that Iranian INSURANCE industry’s Share of GDP, for the period of 1999-2008, is 1.09% on the average. Also, by surveying the ratio of received INSURANCE primium to the dealt stock value, and the ratio of received INSURANCE premium to the current value in the stock market during 1999-2008, we see that the mentioned indexes are respectively 41.05% and 6.65% on the average, that shows the little role of the INSURANCE industry in security market.
