The present study was done with the aim of evaluating the prevalence HEIGHT, WEIGHT and HEAD CIRCUMFERENCE disorders in the first 5 years of life in children with CONGENITAL HYPOTHYROIDISM in Yazd, Iran. Methods: The present study was a retrospective cohort which was performed on all neonates born during 2006 to 2008 and were diagnosed as CONGENITAL HYPOTHYROIDISM by screening program and considered as patient. The ratio of growth disturbances in HEIGHT, WEIGHT and HEAD CIRCUMFERENCE of the first 5 years of life of these children were compared healthy children of World Health Organization (WHO) in separate age and sex groups. Data were analyzed by spss19 Statistical Software with significant level at 0.05.Results: The most common GROWTH DISORDER among boy patient was WEIGHT disorder, while among girl patients it was HEIGHT disorder. Ratio of GROWTH DISORDER variables of HEIGHT, WEIGHT and HEAD CIRCUMFERENCE in boys and girls (patients) had a reducing trend from beginning to end of follow-up. At the end of 5 years, there was no significant difference between the proportion of GROWTH DISORDERs of WEIGHT, HEIGHT and HEAD CIRCUMFERENCE in children with CONGENITAL HYPOTHYROIDISM and healthy children of World Health Organization (p>0.05).Conclusion: Screening program and therapeutic interventions in children with CONGENITAL HYPOTHYROIDISM lead to reduced physical GROWTH DISORDERs and normal pattern of growth in patients.
