Abstract

To avoid the repetition of experimental tests, the process of EXPLOSIVE FORMING for two nonhomogenous plates with plastic deformation was investigated both theoretically and numerically. Then the analytic model was developed based on the principle of energy conservation, obuerving boandary conditions and considering the critical amount of impact and deformation.The maximum deformation of plate and the possibility of rupture were predicted with depending on the mechanical properties of plates. ANSYS and LS-DYNA software were used due to the dynamic nature the loads and the numerical results were compared with the analytic values and a fairly good similarity was observed.
