Abstract

SELF-RESPECT is one of the human behavioral traits which has an important role in achieving motivation, so that it can create dynamic productivity, learning, and excellence in human beings. This research has been conducted in the Regional Electricity Corporation in Kerman. Three hundred questionnaires have been distributed among the employees. These questionnaires were to examine the relationship between SELF-RESPECT and ACHIEVEMENT MOTIVEs with four factors including: TARGET ORIENTATION, hardworking, COMPETITIVENESS and RESPONSIVENESS. The reliability and validity of the questionnaire were 83% and 0.84.The results indicated a positive relationship between SELF-RESPECT and the three factors of target-orientation, hardworking, and RESPONSIVENESS. No significant relationship was found between SELF-RESPECT and COMPETITIVENESS. For generalization of these results multi variable regression equations were applied. The results indicate that for the improvement of SELF-RESPECT among employees, there is a need for effective planning and continuous reviewing of the plans in order to prepare the basis for effective communication, team work, innovation and individual and corporate improvements.
