Abstract

Language is a network of phonetic system, phonemes, syllables, signs and signifiers, intonation and harmony. All these elements come together to understand the language of a poet. One of the most important elements of language of poetry, as Russian Formalists call it, is ORCHESTRATION"; which means the artistic composition of the above mentioned elements for affecting the reader. The music of contemporary poetry has utilized some structural elements to carry, direct and impose the ideology of the poet to the audience. These elements are: repetition, pauses, alliteration, emphasis and initial rhymes. The writer of the article has discussed these elements in the poetic language of NIMA and his followers.
