Abstract

The north sea of Iran in its history has had numbers of variation names. There are more than 60 names in geographical and historical sources.The names that have each appellation, was organized and continued in their times, optionally had use for a part of sea or complete, the names that used by ethnics or nations. In the world there are many natural phenomenas that have been this numbers of places or appellative of sea. This abnormally flow has continued from after seasoned period to this time (630,2003). It may be ending this flow with academicians’ thoughtful on Iranian history and culture base and the time. This is a librarian search for its names during the historical document and itineraries.
