Abstract

Quality of life is one of the concepts that today has a special place in planning and urban management. The main goal of the all plans is upgrading the QUALITY OF LIFE which is pursuing by planners and urban managers. Various factors such as efficient management, sustainable income sources, coherent planning of urban centers and urban infrastructure, creating job opportunities, reducing social and economic inequalities in urban neighborhoods; are affecting on the quality of urban life. The main goal of research studying the indicators of the QUALITY OF LIFE from the viewpoint of the citizens in Parand according to physical, environmental, social and economic characteristics. The pattern of research according to goal is cognitive; in terms of method is descriptive-analytic and based on using a questionnaire; from the point of time, is sectional; and in terms of dada, is quantitative – qualitative. The statistical population of this study is 382 people. In order to analyze the variables studied, SPSS software and statistical methods such as one sample t-test, synthetics technique and ANOVA test were used. The results of the research show that the QUALITY OF LIFE in the studied area is not favorable for citizens in the fields of urban infrastructure, sustainable urban income and social and cultural development and only the situation from the viewpoint of physical characteristics (spaces and buildings) of the sample population is optimal (with the mean 3) evaluated.
