Abstract

Different spiritual religions and sects promise happiness and liberation of man from the abnormalities of life. In line with this good news, they also make promises, which, intentionally or unintentionally, contain very costly issues. One of these issues is the doctrine of Saviorism and Mahdism. Having a savior who will bring man to all his potential capacities and turn society into the promised utopia can be accompanied by a positive conception of expectation that is the basis for individual and collective reform. But on the other hand, Saviorism is so deceptive that it takes its believers hostage in its mesh and makes them aggressive against others who, in their opinion, are preventing the coming of the savior and the formation of the ideal utopia. In the pathology of the problem of Saviorism, it is examined how and why a reformed thought that has the ability to improve the biological situation turns into a terrible Fundamentalism. The present research, with a partial study of Saviorism from the point of view of the ISIS Salafist group, outlines the path of transforming the ideology of returning to the caliphate (as a kind of Islamic model civilization) into the formation of an exclusivist and violent group. The data has been collected by the method of library studies and the analysis is based on the logical description of causing damage in the process of formation and consistency of ideology.
