Abstract

The present research was aimed to investigate the roots of VIOLENCE in FAMILY. On the basis of the social learning theory, sociability of sexual role theory, and valuable sources theory, the degree of VIOLENCE in the FAMILY in a sample of 400 married WOMEN in Jiroft city was studied.As such, based on a survey method, and sample was collected through a multistage cluster sampling method who completed questionnaires.Results revealed that SOCIAL CAPITAL, sexual relation quality, husbands' satisfaction of sexual relations, level of WOMEN's awareness of their rights, and husband educational degree, can explain up to 78.6 percent of total variance of dependent variable.
