Abstract

The aim of this study is investigation of gas station location distribution and comparison of different districts of MASHHAD city. Also PETROL FUEL STATION problems had been identified and prioritized. The study scope placed at evaluation research with practical results and the research method is descriptive - analytical study. The required data and information had been collected using the library methods and field studies had been done using a questionnaire to identifying fuel station problems and average direct distance between homes to fuel stations. The sample size of 138 randomly selected from among drivers in the queue for petrol stations were selected. To investigate the relationship between variables, the linear correlation method is used and R2, t- Test and significance level were calculated by SPSS. Also the relationship between development level of districts and access level to the PETROL FUEL STATIONs was studied using chi-squared test. The locational criteria had been analyzed by GIS software. The research is based on the theoretical opinions expressed in the context of sustainability, SMART GROWTH and spatial justice. The correct petrol stations locating not only reducing travel distance and time in traffic network, but also promote social justice and sustainable development and it is an aspect of goals of city SMART GROWTH. The results show that, there is a direct relation between number of petrol nozzle at districts and access level to PETROL FUEL STATIONs (R=0.71). Also it was revealed that the access level to PETROL FUEL STATIONs on the developing districts is higher than developed districts. The main problems of PETROL FUEL STATIONs in MASHHAD are inadequate number of stations (demand- supply incongruence) and improper distribution in city districts.
