Abstract

The period between the two world wars was a very sensitive one for Arabs. They got colonized by European countries such as Britain, France and Italy before barely getting released from Otthman despotism. Poets and writes like many other people raised their voices against colonialism. The main themes of the poems were: 1- Objection to the presence of foreigners on their lands.2-Warnings against the tricks of the foreigners and 3- Condemning pseudo- parliamentary elections.
