Abstract

Introduction: Adolescence is one of the most sensitive stages of life in the growth and development of physical, mental and social health. The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating Family functioning and Risky behaviors of adolescents.Methods: The current research was of a mixed type, that is, of a quantitative and qualitative type, which was conducted cross-sectionally. Data was collected through questionnaires and interviews.Results: The findings showed that there is a significant relationship between the risky behavior of teenagers and the functioning of the family, and in the qualitative part, the disconnection of emotional support and the creation of a vacuum in life were central categories.Conclusion: There is a positive correlation between problem solving and high-risk behaviors, including tendency to violence, tendency to smoke and drugs, and there is also a positive correlation between the relationship with the mentioned behaviors, and based on the results of the study, it is necessary to create and expand social work units and their specialized interventions.
