Abstract

This paper selects two boys' high schools in Tehran to study the relations between ETHICAL GROWTH and the adults' child rearing methods with the level of their disagreement and gap with the young. 100 out of 200 students have been selected randomly among the boys in eleventh and 12th greads of 2 high schools in Tehran. Then the level of their disagreement and their political tendency has been compared with that of their fathers by appling two researcher made scales with required reliability. At the same time, the level of ETHICAL GROWTH, political ATTITUDE and the method of fathers for child rearing has been measured by using Kolberge ETHICAL GROWTH, ATTITUDE measuring scale and their child rearing method scale. The result shows that, first there is a psychological gap between 2/3 of the fathers and their children. Second, there is a meaningful relation between the fathers' ETHICAL GROWTH and that of the children. Third, there is relation between the fathers' ETHICAL GROWTH and their political tendency with that of their children.
