EROSION VULNERABILITY ASSESSMENT THROUGH SEDIMENTATION ALLUVIUM FORMATION OF INDEX CASE STUDY: HAJI ARAB BASIN (QAZVIN PROVINCE)

Abstract

 Alluvial and their properties including age, texture and a lot to rounded degree can reflect the characteristics of lithology, Morphometry and current dynamics of the river basin. Among these formation and their resistance and to make every area of the river basin to the allocation, with different size and composition of the Alluvium is formed to river. The purpose of this study alluvial river sediments HAJI ARAB BASIN in Qazvin province and the sediments separated by age, lithology, and rate of erosion vulnerability assessment carried out over the basin formation with matching characteristics and lithology weathering area being exposed to them. For achieving this goal, using the numeral Topography maps 1:50000 and 1:250000 geological and satellite images of basin on them, for determine the boundaries of formation by Arc GIS software and digitized each zoning area and this area is to obtained. Then the level of local output drainage main basin and 20 sediment samples with 300 m intervals and marked by GPS. The samples in the laboratory and then by granolometry and morphoscopy by microscope and using acids and other methods of laboratory samples in 7 groups lithology as groups index the genetic classification and the next stage, the larger pieces of resistance has been measured in each group. Finally, combine results with laboratory measurements and match them with an area of equal width, each group formation EROSION ABILITY features have come. The results show that EROSION ABILITY group intrusive highest quantity and extrusive, sedimentary and metamorphic degrees respectively are next.
