Abstract

The main hypotheses are that ENTREPRENEURSHIP SKILLS TRAININGS at ISLAMIC AZAD UNIVERSITY affect individuals’ attitude towards labor market and OCCUPATIONAL SELF-CONCEPT. Entrepreneurship education will lead entrepreneurs towards risk taking, responsibility, empathy, cooperation and other related components to entrepreneurship. Therefore, investment in entrepreneurial capabilities of human resources possesses a special place and universities are expected to play a pivotal role in the development of entrepreneurial capabilities. In the study, the author tries to survey the impact of entrepreneurship education at ISLAMIC AZAD UNIVERSITY. This is an applied research conducted through a descriptive and comparative method. The relationship between entrepreneurship at ISLAMIC AZAD UNIVERSITY, its impact on students’ attitudes towards the labor market and the OCCUPATIONAL SELF-CONCEPT and then the ATTITUDE TOWARDS THE LABOR MARKET and the professional self-concept and finally the entrepreneurship education are considered as variables of the research. The population comprises all management students of Firoozkooh ISLAMIC AZAD UNIVERSITY. By a simple random sampling, an appropriate sample consisted of 200 students is selected using Morgan Jersey’s table. Likert Scale questionnaire is used as a toll for collecting data and the reliability is measured 83% by Cronbach alpha. Mann-Whitney Test, ranking variables and Friedman test will be used to examine statistical hypothesis of the two independent groups.The results of Mann-Whitney test show that, between these two samples, there is a meaningful difference from the viewpoint of attitudes towards OCCUPATIONAL SELF-CONCEPT and labor market. Those who completed the entrepreneurship course possess the average much higher than the other group. All hypotheses are confirmed by a confidence of 95%. Therefore, it can be argued that entrepreneurship courses offered at ISLAMIC AZAD UNIVERSITY has a positive impact on students’ attitudes towards labor market, OCCUPATIONAL SELF-CONCEPT and self-employment. In addition, more offered entrepreneurship credit courses are recommended in Bachelor Degrees and instead of a single entrepreneurship course, a few courses such as foundations of entrepreneurship, creativity and innovative ideas, business forms and business plan are needed.
