Abstract

Purpose: The religious beliefs immensely affect the strength of the family foundation, and a plethora of research studies confirm a significant relationship between the two institutions of religion and the family. Since the ubiquitous culture in Iranian society originates from Islam, the purpose of this research is to study factors which in the shadow of the Islamic lifestyle makes couples compatible.Methodology: This qualitative research was conducted with descriptive and analytical methods, with the aim of determining the impact of belief in lifestyle on the compatibility of couples from Hadis and Koran verses, which is in the scope of applied research.Findings: Religious beliefs affect the compatibility of couples in three dimensions of giving meaning to life, performing tasks by family members, and facing problems that arise in the family.Conclusion: The possession of strong religious beliefs of couples has a significant impact on strengthening the relationships among family members. Religious beliefs give meaning to a person's attitude towards existence and show unity and peacefulness in behavior, and provide the basis for preventing and solving many problems.
