The role of Hope and Resilience in Predicting Life Satisfaction in teachers

Abstract

 Introduction and Aims: Identifying the effective factors in Teachers' life satisfaction as an effective index in education has attracted the attention of education administrators and researchers, so the present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the role of hope and Resilience in predicting life satisfaction in Teachers. Method: The method of the current research was descriptive and correlational. The research population included married middle school Teachers in Tehran in the academic year of 2022-2023, and 120 qualified people were selected as the research sample using available sampling method. And Omid Schneider et al. (1991), Connor and Davidson (2003) Resilience, and Diener et al. (1985) life satisfaction questionnaires answered. To analyze the data, mean, standard deviation, Pearson correlation test and multiple regressions were used using SPSS version 24 software. Results: The results showed that the relationship between hope (r=0.589) and Resilience (r=0.761) with Teachers' life satisfaction was positive and significant (p<0.01). And the components of hope 34.7 and Resilience 58.9 percent predict the variance of Teachers' life satisfaction. Conclusion: Those involved in the educational system should pay special attention to the role of factors such as hope and Resilience in making policies and planning related to the promotion of Teachers' life satisfaction.
