Abstract

To study the effect of supplemental irrigation on Sardary rainfed wheat and determining its most sensitive growth stage to irrigation, an experiment with CRB design with four replications was conducted in Sararood Research Station. Five treatments of were studies as follows:10:control, without irrigation 11:irrigation at planting time 13:irrigation '2: irrigation at flowering stage at milky stage14: irrigation at milky and grain filling stages (50 millimeters each stage) 100mm of water was applied in treatments 11 to 14. Results showed significant increase in grain and straw yields. 100mm of supplemental irrigation at milky and grain filling stages is recommendable when spring precipitation is less than the long term overage of 130mm for this season.
