Abstract

The objective of this study is a Comparative Study on the Structure and the Content Covering of Political Events of IRAN in National and International Web Sites. Data gatherin was done and interpreted through CONTENT ANALYSES. The main concern of this article is a comparative study on structure and the content covering of political events among IRNA web sites as an IRAN official NEWS agency and Persian BBC and VOA sites regarding putting emphasis on IRAN political events. Statical population was IRAN NEWS in politival and foreign affairs. Duration of this study was 6 months regarding first 3 months of 2007 and the last three months of 2008.Sample of this study was 571 NEWS which has been done through random systematic sampling during two statistical weeks (one NEWS from each 2 weeks).The unit of analysis in this study is NEWS. Discriptive and interpretive finding indicate that there is didderent among IRNA, Persion BBCand VOA. Each three web sites put emphsis on “who” or “who” and value NEWS considering people of prominence. This trends show their personal idealist. All the NEWS in three web sites are ”unproductive” that the portion of IRNA is more than the others. New clear weapon was the main topic of the mentioned sites.More NEWS in IRNA and VOA was based on “hard NEWS” while BBC focused on “soft NEWS” along with complementry information. NEWS web sites mostly use “photo” among interactional facilities and mass media.While IRNA, BBC and VOA utilized more E-mail and relevence with subjects and sites.
