Abstract

The present article analyses the content of the works of Masoud Kimiaei and Dariush Mehrjouei, two moviemaker writers, working together for a long period before and after the Islamic revolution in Iran cinema. This is a research about effects of the society on the works of Kimiaei and Mehrjouei.Research questions were first created instead of hypothesis because of the qualitative nature of the research and four movies were selected as society research from both the moviemakers' works. Each movie relating to the end of each decade (totally four decades). Samples could be selected from the movies of the above mentioned moviemakers and they were studied as quality research and with content analysis technique, such that each movie was analyzed in comparative-posterior manner, first from whole to fragments (fragmenting the movie content) and then from fragments to the whole (compartmenting and collection of the fragments). The ART SOCIOLOGY, literature sociology, (ideas of Goldman and Zalmanski, cinema sociology, and Blumer symbolic interaction mere sociological theory were selected as the theoretical framework of the research, the movies sociological- society analysis was done by these theories.Regarding the fact that whether or not the movies clarified the problems and issues of the time the most important problems and issues of every decade were available from newspapers and historical books of the very decade, and the movies were evaluated considering the mentioned cases. The settings of every movie, their dialogue, the symbols presented in each movie, music of the movie, and in general different elements of each movie were extracted and the discussions were determined. for conclusion and comparison of the works of both directors, the similarities and differences of their works were considered in each decade and the final conclusion was done through the analysis of the common elements of the works of both directors and it was revealed that both of them complemented each other just like two halves of a puzzle and try to denote the same idea. That is to say, whether the actors of their movies are caught by unparallel and cruel acts or the bonds let behind form the past. Kimiaei has always a hero or a fighter to face this dominance who stands against this dominance while Mehrjouei often shows a society who takes no action to get free from the said dominance. Finding analyses answere all researcher questions.The concerned research succeeded at the end to present two hypotheses.
