Abstract

This article has been studied effectiveness of PSYCHOTHERAPY on INFIDELITY FORGIVENESS in married WOMEN in Tehran city. Research society consisted of the entire WOMEN of Tehran City who had experienced betrayal of their husbands and been referred to counseling centers of the city in 2010; seeking counseling services. Sampling was purposeful with 16 WOMEN, they put on ran doming in two groups (control & experiment). Procedure was semi- experimental with pre- test post- test. PSYCHOTHERAPY was done in 8 sessions. At the end of sessions, both groups were asked to take the test again. Tool of research was made questionnaire research with 25, reliability was./62. Main assumption was: PSYCHOTHERAPY intervention was effectiveness on increasing of FORGIVENESS. To analyze data, descriptive and inferential statistics (Co-variance Analysis and Multivariable Variance analysis) were applied. Data indicated PSYCHOTHERAPY intervention was effectiveness on increasing of FORGIVENESS in WOMEN hurt by betrayal of their spouses F=9/09 p<./.5.
