Abstract

What is caused serious concerns in recent years is reducing age of drug ADDICTION and increasing statistics of addicts due to several reasons that these concerns has greatly enhanced because of existence of official and unofficial statistics of drug ADDICTION among educational centers and schools. In this article in addition to evaluating ADDICTION PREVENTION PROGRAMS in schools, the role and status of SOCIAL WORK as a valuable and expertise profession in the process of ADDICTION PREVENTION PROGRAMS is discussed. To achieve this aim, archival_library method is used, so that the ADDICTION PREVENTION PROGRAMS and plans in schools have been evaluated and also qualitative content analysis is used to explain the results.The research findings show that programs, which are designed to prevention drug ADDICTION in schools, have been incoherent, sectional, and short-term. Moreover, these programs (in various aspects) are not benefiting from existence expertise such as SOCIAL WORK that it totally caused lack of necessary efficiency in this field.
