Abstract

Introduction & Objective: The professional knowledge of NURSEs will help enhance the quality of nursing care and prevent legal problems. Therefore, the purpose of present study was to assess knowledge of professional RULES among hospital NURSEs of educational centers of Tabriz University of medical sciences.Materials and Method: This is a descriptive research in which NURSEs’ knowledge of professional RULES was assessed using a researcher-made questionnaire. In this study 298 NURSEs working in educational centers of Tabriz University of medical sciences were selected by convenience sampling method. Data analyzing was conducted by using SPSS statistic software.Results: The results showed that 88/9% of samples had weak and 11.1% had moderate knowledge about nursing professional RULES; none of the participants had high-level knowledge in this field.Conclusion: The results indicate that the professional knowledge of NURSEs participated in this study is not desirable. Also, there is a need to create training programs and for inclusion of them in nursing curriculum, too.
