Abstract

Wisdom and FAITH are undoubtedly the most important religious subjects which have always been taken into consideration. There are different opinions about the relationship between these two concepts among Moslem and Christian scholars. The purpose of this study is the interpretation and explanation of WISDOM and FAITH, the presentation of general approaches towards them, and the investigation of MOLLASADRA's point of view as the famous Moslem intellectual and Pope John Pole's as the official opinion in Catholic CHRISTIANITY. It concludes that ISLAM is a rational religion and there is no expression against WISDOM. The acceptance of the religion's principles is possible through reasoning while there may exist some issues above it and the religion's instructions should not oppose rationality. In contrast CHRISTIANITY lacks reasoning in its principles and teaching so it has to seek mystery and accept the FAITH without WISDOM.
