Abstract

Admittedly, one of the manifestations of the holy QURAN grandeur is the brilliant and targeted selection of terms and their artistic and unique juxtaposition. The term (Salaam) is one of the frequently used terms in the holy QURAN, having been employed in about 40 verses, and its derivatives are observed in 73 verses.Owing to the meaning diversity of this term and its abundant usages in the holy QURAN, the present article aims to analyze the concepts of each (Salaam), used in the holy QURAN verses, and its derivatives as well as its relation to some other terms, such as salutation and peace. In the end, a number of tables, including the saluted and saluters, are presented.
