Abstract

The present article is to survey the Islamic HISTIOGRAPHY, especially in MOROCCO from the start to the end of 7th century. To this end, the notion of HISTIOGRAPHY and its significance is dealt with from the standpoint of the holy Quran and traditions in the first phase, and then the HISTIOGRAPHY approaches in MOROCCO are studied. The political state of MOROCCO, the rivalries among different countries so as to record their achievements, and the advent of different religious sects brought about the compilation of various writings in the west of Islamic World. ABAZIAN, FATEMIAN, and Malekian are considered as the most well-known Islamic sects, which played a key role in the formation and perfection of MOROCCO HISTIOGRAPHY. Their works today mostly in TRANSLATION are counted as our most significant sources for studying the political, cultural and social states of MOROCCO at that time.
