Abstract

Discussing on the structure of THE GULESTAN, we encounter with two types of narrative literature which have coordination with the structure ofmaqama and the PICARESQUE narration. This article is to survey and compare the structure of THE GULESTAN, the MAQAMAt of HAMADANI, HARIRI, HAMIDI and the PICARESQUE narration in a number of stories and deal with their structural similarities and differences.
