Abstract

DE familiarization in literature includes all knacks which involve highlighting a literary work and is usually accompanied with a type of NORM-DEVIATION. It can be said that de familiarization is the result of GIVING PROMINENCE and NORM-DEVIATION to a work. Between the two processes of self activity and highlighting, the formalists have chosen the second one as responsible for the formation of literary language. De familiarization is not any deviation from the norms of language grammar, because some of these deviations only lead to non-grammatical structure and can be considered as art creativity. I have investigated, in this paper, SHAHRIAR's Farsi poetry from different aspects and chosen five prominent samples (the lexical NORM-DEVIATION, temporal, syntactic stylistic and dialectical norms) from his book of poetry (Diwan) and concluded that the NORM-DEVIATION in SHAHRIAR's Diwan is as a result of creativity, familiarity with Arabic language and other sciences, bilinguality, and dominance of Persian classical literature which have consciously and unconsciously been formed. Not only hasn' t it reduced the beauty of the poetry but in most occasions has endowed special prominence to his poetry which appeals the readers' attention.
