Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of integrated group therapy with REDECISION THERAPY and NARRATIVE THERAPY in controlling adolescent girls' emotions. This quasi-experimental study employed a pretest-post-test control and experimental group design. The sample of the study included 20 adolescent high school girl students from Shiraz district one in the school year 2009-2010. They were randomly assigned to an experimental group (n=10) and a control group (n=10). The experimental group received a treatment of eight sessions of counseling through redecision and NARRATIVE THERAPY. Then, EMOTION CONTROL of both groups was assessed using a scale. Covariance analysis of the data indicated that integrated group therapy with REDECISION THERAPY and NARRATIVE THERAPY had a positive effect on the EMOTION CONTROL of the adolescent girls.
