Abstract

Hakim Saad al-Din Nizari Qhstany is the great narrator of the second half of the seventh century and early eight century who remained ... poetical works. His poems are simple and unpretentious in which poets presented contents accompanied by beautiful poetical images. The ability of image-creation is always a main feature for a poet. Therefore, this article concerns the evaluation of poetical images (simile, metaphor) in Nizari's poems. It has been referred to poetry and fancy (image) in this article. The frequency, topic (image-making elements), brevity, and prolixity in simile, metaphor used by Nizari in his odes, and also his aim in using these images have been examined. In final part of article, the propotion of image and topic has been discussed.
