Abstract

The present study was carried out to determine the efficacy of emotion-focused COUPLE THERAPY training with regard to SEXUAL SATISFACTION among couples. The sample population was drawn from the couples referred to the private & governmental counseling centers of Shiraz, having been married for at least one year & maximum 10 years, out of which 16 couples (32 individuals) who had scored below average in "Marital Satisfaction Questionnaire" were randomly selected & assigned to experiment & control groups. The experiment group then attended ten ninety-minute emotion-focused COUPLE THERAPY sessions. Results support the effectiveness of emotion-focused interventions in increasing couples' SEXUAL SATISFACTION, additionally, this efficacy was more observed among women rather than men.
