THE EXTENSION OF INDIA AND ISRAEL RELATIONS: PERIPHERY PLAN OR UNITY STRATEGY

Abstract

 India and Israel have some common characteristics such as parliamentary system and radical and moderate political parties. But, despite of these characteristics, Indian government did not show any tendency for establishing perfect relation with Israel for four decades and instead of it supported Palestine. However, vast changes in international arena at the beginning of 1990decade caused great charge in India and Israel. Soon after, diplomatic relations between the two countries improved and in1992, wide cooperation in different fields formed between them. But, the extension of relations between them does not mean that there is a unity strategy. Therefore, the article seeks to analyses the needs which made the relations between both countries continue.
