Abstract

The present study aimed to investigate relationship between PERCEIVED SOCIAL SUPPORT and SELF-EFFICACY. This study is a descriptive- correlative. The population of this study was high school students in Arak. 430 male and female students were selected by cluster sampling. Data were gathered using Multiple Scale of Social Support and General SELF-EFFICACY Scale. Data were analysed by correlation coefficient and regression analysis. Results indicated a significant relationship between PERCEIVED SOCIAL SUPPORT and SELF-EFFICACY. The results of regression analysis also revealed FAMILY SUPPORT was predictor of SELF-EFFICACY. Considering the relationship between various sources of PERCEIVED SOCIAL SUPPORT with SELF-EFFICACY among adolescents, it is effective and beneficial regulating of appropriate educational programs to promote support and SELF-EFFICACY at home and school.
